Favorite App so far.... Developers please see link to Announcements above.

I have recently downloaded this phone tracking app, omg its so good, you get all these various details about your phone and network coverage. I also installed this app on my kids phones so I could track them from time to time ;) (not stalking) its so amazing. the name of the app is Tracesaver trust me you wanna try it, oh yh and its free. :):):)

No, it's not stalking at all, it's the sign of a good parent taking responsibility for their children.

I'm not trying to change the subject, but children don't have a right to privacy, especially from their parents, until they reach the ripe age of 18.

Either way, if I had a child old enough for a phone, that would be one requirement.

i like phandroid but i have noticed that lately it makes my cpu runs at 100% after i exit the program and then still after i kill the program and then that kills the battery the only way to make it stop is reboot the phone

Man...that doesn't sound very good >_>;;;

no it aint i have sent a message to phases about it but i have not herd back from him on the manor yet

When you hear from Phases, you won't get much help as he's not responsible for the app but he'll most likely pass it on to the developer.

Have you tried uninstall and reinstall the app to see if it helps?

i have tried everything as far as wiping my phone and reinstalling my rom and 2 different kernels and the same results are getting produced no matter what combo i am running and i am the only member who is experiencing massive battery drain with the app there are more

I like the phone app.

By pressing a series of buttons, you can literally talk to people almost anywhere, and you can use your actual voice. And the cool thing is, the person you want to speak to does not require a cell phone.

And you can use the phone app as a musical instrument, too.

Amazing, just amazing.

That almost sounds useful, being able to talk to people with your voice directly.

To be serious, try EchoLink if and only if you are a licensed amateur radio operator. Then again, sign-up is tough because you must prove you have a ticket. You cant simply fake your way past the gate keepers.

Allows communication all over the planet and those you talk to do not need a cell phone.

Quite cool.

It is great app :D Uhm no it doesnt kill my battery, the app uses around 2% of my phones battery, so thats nothing comparing to what other apps use.

That looks like a great app (if it doesn't kill your battery). Will be trying it out. Kind of like Seekdroid, but much more functional.

No not really because no one is watching you!!!!You watch your self (your own phone and your own locations). No one else can see your locations because you have to login to the tracesaver website with your username and password to view all the information.

Bit too much like big brother watching me for my liking!

Yh but kids dont tell the truth all the time ;)
And check this out I found it on the tracesaver's FAQ's:

TraceSaver is free of all charges, how does your business benefit from delivering this service?
Our mission is to collect sufficient quantities of network operator performance facts from real customers (such as signal level, poor call locations etc) to provide mobile operators with facts that allow the operators to understand their coverage problem areas or where their customers are having problems. The network operators can use this information to improve their service by making localised investment or by re-engineering of the existing local network.

That's what I am thinking... You get the kids the phones. So. They can check in and you know whereabouts then but gps tracking...
You have to think if it free what is the developer doing with that info

I still recommend tracesaver, because no one came up with an argument why one shouldnt try it.

Yh thats what Im thinking too!!! Im just looking after the kids....What if something happens to them? I can see where they are or last been thatnks to tracesaver app on their phone.

Reading above, they basically monitor you and sell this info on!

When I want to know my kids location I just Latitude. Simple, already there, and if she turns it off she loses her phone. :D
