Root Flash Evo to Verizon?

I want to know once and for all, how can you flash an Evo to Verizon?

I have read that it's possible. The ESN needs to be in there database and from what I read you can pay a fee and change the ESN of the Evo to one in Verizon's database. Then you can use it on their network.

Or you can use some PRL hack to get it working on their network, but I'm pretty sure you would still have to be on Sprints network (charges for so much roaming).

I want to know how the phone can be flashed to Verizon and I can pay my bill at Verizon and hopefully get 3G from them. (I want Verizon, not page plus)

Anyway how can it be done, I'm considering getting an Evo, but I'd have to switch to Verizon's network next year, so I want to know ahead of time if I can use the phone on their network.

Can never happen, unless you hack into Verizon's database and put the Evo's ESN into Verizon's database. So in short, you can never activate a phone that was not sold by Verizon on Verizon's system.

Changing ESNs is illegal, and is one of those things that can get you jail time. I strongly suggest you forget about it.

You can rosm on verizon yes...my plan has unlimited roamig..others do not.

I have heard rumors that to actually get on verizon service you just need to go in and talk to them....but in all honesty.....sell the evo and get the thunderbolt...the evo will not work on lte 4g so you would be stuck on 3g. I have actually been very impressed by the lte coverage in my area, ...that and with att recent upgrades their 3g is now pretty insane now too....

Yeah even if you convince someone to activate it on vzw your evo 4g would be an evo 3g. Why not t bolt? Very similar, slightly updated version of evo.

To be specific, I was talking about the Evo 3D. I would love to use this phone on Verizon (actually I would love a 3D 4G phone on Verizon), but it's exclusive to Sprint. I read that it was legal to change ESN numbers if you own the phones that have the numbers your using. I assumed if the original evo could be flashed, then the 3D one could be too.

By the way, what plan has unlimited data roaming? Is there a hack that would make my phone set the network connection priority like this:
1.Sprint 4G
2. Verizon 3G
3. Sprint 3G

Is that possible? And do you lose access to any of the phones features while it's roaming?

just do the vzw prl... the 4g aspect of your device will never work on vzw (damn clearwire...) so itll default to sprint 4g if available then vzw 3g but wont go to sprint 3g if youre on the vzw prl.

Ok so Sprint will never get upset if you roam GBs of data over Verizon 3G? (if so that's great). But if I want to be on a Verizon plan, will that work? (will they add my phone to a plan?)

Oh and just to be clear, with the PRL hack, if I there isn't VZW 3G coverage or Sprint 4G coverage, but there is Sprint 3G coverage, then the phone still won't connect to Sprints 3G?

There are hybrid prls out there

Ok, thx. Can someone point in the direction of a guide to installing the PRL? And can the PRL be installed on any Android rooted phone?

And also with the PRL, will I be able to switch to VZW on a plan? Also if I cancel my service with Sprint, will I be able to connect to Verizon's network still and use it or not?

as has been discussed in several previous PRL threads, unless youre streaming constant HD Netflix movies, or torrenting, ot runnign a server from your phone, or downloading the entire library of congress or something like that, vzw wouldnt even know youre there. (yes, of course theyd know youre there, but you know what im getting at) how long you been runnin the vzw prl Evom? ive seen a couple posts talking about people who know people who heard about this guy one time when they were in a bar, after having "a drink or 2" where some guy got kicked off sprints network cuz vzw cried foul, but..... anywho, whats the worst that could happen? your device becomes available for sale on ebay and you have no etf(early termination fee) all of the aforementioned points may be made moot by the existence of a hybrid prl... Evom, can you share with the class?

Here is a vzw/Sprint prl and some Sprint full 3g prls.

if you don't mind me asking, which prl are you using? seems by coverage maps that verizon has more consitant 3g coverage and would like to give this a try...
TIA

I started using it because my home tower was down and they weren't fixing it quickly. I get all around better coverage. I'm using 0001
