Root Flashing Kinga r3

Thinking of flashing kings r3...right now I have r5. Any known problems with r3? This would be my first non sense Rom. Anyone use r5 and r3, which was your favorite?

i loved kings unleashed r3. i was running it for a month or so before i flashed over to aosp side. i never had any issues. for the most kings rom's have always been very stable and super fast. i'd say go for it and enjoy!
 
Ok, I will. Guess if I have a nandroid backup from 2 days ago, I can skip that part. Do I flash kings format all again?
Also I noticed kings r3 is under ASOP Roms, so its not ASOP?
 
if you're talking about ultra blakk (unleashed) then yeah, it's a sense ROM. I'm running it with a theme overlayed and I love it. everything works. I tried R5 and immediately went back. I probably won't change until there's a gingerbread/sense 2.0 or 3 with working 4g.

I also like that it comes with a pack of kernels that are tested and work with the rom.
 
His gb unleashed r3 is aosp. You will likely have to fix gps and voice mail but it's easy and we can take ya through it. Do your self a favor and before you flash, use your sense rom and dial ## gpsclrx# and let it reboot and lock then flash. Also use titanium or my back up to back up voice mail data from sense before flashing.
 
Thanks I think I will stick with a Rom with most things working. So the ultra black is (sense version) its different the r5? Guess I thought it would be mostly the same but with a different theme. I am talking about neon r3. Is that the ASOP? If so is it hard to fix the how and vm problem?

Well it will all work if you fix it...

If you do what I mentioned in my last post and do gps clr and back up voice mail it won't need much fixing.

Yes neon is aosp he also has r1-5 of unleashed his sense rom...and r1-4 of his aosp gb rom...he also has a gb with sense out there that doesn't have everything working just fyi on that.
 
What do you think is the best sense Rom? Assuming you've tried more than one kings unleashed, what's your favorite? Flashing Roms is kinda like an addiction, lol. Once you do a couple, you can't stop. You wanna try them all. Lol

mikforyo 4.6, kings unleashed (sense) roms, koni elite series III are great roms. a lot of people here also seem to like myn's warm 2.2 rls5 (to me though it was to slow, if you compare to how mikfroyo and kings build their roms.) you can get them in ref#2 of my sig.

yeah i tried. it is just another themed cm7 rom with of course his optimizations built in. however, i just did not like his theming.
 
Yeah , I flashed kings r5 today on my daughters because myns Rom was so slow and sluggish. I used her phone and said what Rom are you using its so slow...she tried mine with kings r5, she couldn't believe how fast and responsive it was.

+1 on myn's being to slow. have you tried mikfroyo 4.6? i think it is much faster then kings especially the odexed version.
 
i agree but there are a ton of themes and mods on his website that you can change to make it look differently. i tried it for a few days, but i'm loving aosp so i went back.
 
Haven't tried his odex with themes so maybe I'll check it again...last time I looked at his odex it didn't have available themes yet

If you flash myn's rls5 then go to warm updater flash the netarchy kernal, then downgrade your radio to 2.00.09 and your prl and nv to 1.77 you'll have a hell of a rom to work with. But the front camera is the only thing I can't get working, its a kernal issue I found out. But with those updates my evo is deadly fast bro.
