Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Actually it was me who coined his name (not to toot my own horn), and he took it when he signed in near the end!

I don't remember why I called him (or her) the Love Tunnel, though. I think it had something to do with the tunnel of light in the last season of LOST. :p

You know, we could look that up and see where it first occurred ...

OK folks... let's keep this low-key. Verizon/Samsung/Google are aware of us and are pressuring vzw employees. This may our last info until the 18th, when all will be revealed.

A special thank you to our "person." We don't want any trouble for you. We're grateful for what you did for us to this point. :D

SD slot- No

Battery- Bigger than what BGR reports.

That's all I got.

No phandroid article, please.

Ok, but didn't he/she/it say that the battery was variable and could change?

SD slot, I don't know how that could change.

Either way, thanks to Steven for passing the info along, and thanks to the source for risking his/her/its neck!

Stand and thank the source!

Thank you, Source, our giant love tunnel of illumination!

All thank the love tunnel!!

I always bought that that's where it came from when you thought it up.

No, really.

From the downward trajectory I'm guessing they were trying to shoot out my tire but they are a bad shot and hit the panel instead.

LOL!!!

That's awesome that you found that!

You, sir, deserve a beer.
Yes. Yes, I do.

Hmmm... or some idiot fired into the sky a neighborhood away and it came down on your car.

Did you find the bullet or its fragments?

Any sort of nearby crater?

I'm not ruling out meteorite.

The love tunnel and I no longer have any relationship and we haven't in over two years, since the debut of the gnex. The love tunnel was (and maybe still is) a Verizon Wireless corporate employee. It's funny... he would literally be overhearing google-verizon convos and reporting them to me. He used to post here under some nick name that included verizon wireless in his name. I've erased all my old PM's so I don't even remember who it was. He's long gone though. I swore privacy to him and I still intend to keep that oath, but obviously what I revealed here won't hurt him.

Does that help?

PS: In fact, as I recall, the vzw-google arguments were quite heated.

That's actually more than I ever expected to know, but still cool to know.

I'm glad I got to know everyone I did during that time.

I took my vehicle to the car wash on Sunday and I noticed it when I was throwing junk out. For all I know it has been there for a couple weeks? It kept snowing here so I didn't bother cleaning the Escape for a couple weeks.

If it happened while parked at my residence then the bullet is lost in the snow.

I'll probably go to the police station this Sunday or Monday.

I'm guessing a random act of vandalism seeing that I don't have a shady second life.

A small part? You were the thread's conscience.

Early was the spanker. Steven was the thread's daddy and the Love Tunnel's bff. I'm still not sure what I was, lol.

If we're going to continue expanding the roll call, then BabyBlues and her avatars need a bump to the top of the list.

(Yeah. I really did do that.)

Prior to the epic thread and even at its beginning, we used to moderate out "that's what she said" - eventually, we gave up.

We had a lot of heroes in that thread.

We had the very first public account of ownership by a member from the UK. Who posted that he was happy to answer questions, and got largely ignored at first until flamed because it was impossible because Verizon didn't have them. He also gave us the first look at the new web nav UI.

We had the very first accidental sale of a GNex prior to release by someone kind enough to return it so the rep would not lose their jobs - but not before giving us pictures.

We had a device manufacturer who offered a lot of insights and was on staff for a while - nj02vette if I've spelled that right.

And not chiming in yet were AntimonyER, BlueBiker, jmar - far too many to name here.

makes me widh i was a part of it :(

Well, I *can* find one of your posts from that timeframe, copy it, move it into the thread, modify it so you're flaming someone (with your choice: "I can say fu to whomever I want, you ****, this is America and the internet is free" - or - "FU you Verizon shill, and ****, ****, ****, and ****" - or - "FU sissy for not liking football plus I think you're a **** and you ought to ****" - to name a few) and then give you a retroactive infraction for that - if you *really* want. :p ;)

And we won't have to worry about anyone's links getting broken because then I'll delete your post.

:)

That's the best I can do.

The other way to really be a part of it would be to go back and read the best posts there, they're all timeless.

Obtw, they all happen to have been posted by me.

Edit/PS - Once upon a time, people here got my sense of humor. Then the epic thread happened. I never changed but it's been said that I have no sense of humor.

Eh, I wouldn't worry about it. Much worse things have been said about you. :p

I really don't, I added that because it hit me that I didn't need a bunch of complaints from people taking that post seriously.

And yes. Yes, they have.

Because sometimes the messenger is the message, not what was said. ;) :D

Teaspoons are far easier to grasp than oceans.

(Steven's run, yet again, accomplished nothing, just as in the days of yore.)

(steven strains to think up a witty retort and comes up with: ) Oh Yeaaaah? :p

Sparing with Early again, just like the good old days.
