Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

http://phandroid.com/2015/07/02/sprint-vs-t-mobile-fight/

I guess I'll stick with Big Red for the moment. I really don't want to get in the middle of somebody's telcom hissy fit :p

Pup, I'm still holding out hope against hope that the Note 5's release will prove many of the rumors to be utterly false, and that it'll blow away anything on the market. But if it comes out ala S6 with no microSD support or removable battery, I'll definitely look at the Nexus line or anything else on Verizon's radar.

So who watched the Moto event? That Moto X Style is tempting even though I have the Nexus 6. And that price! Was really hoping for a 360 part deux announcement but I'm sure it will be soon.

I am still rocking the G2. I wanted to grab the Nexus, but never grabbed it. Maybe this will be the next phone I get, depending on real world specs.

I am still using the GNEX everyday as my audiobook /car phone.

Still have the G2? Wow. I still have mine but it hasn't been powered on in awhile. I really like the X Style but it doesn't seem to have OIS. Which sucks.

Shouldn't be too long until new Nexus news starts becoming believable.

I have the Nexus 6 as well but the new moto doesn't have enough for me to justify the switch. It's a nice phone though. BTW moto watch just passed fcc.

I passed on the N6 in hopes the N5 refresh would actually show up but alas...so I am waiting to see what happens with the new Nexus or possibly the next Moto X/OP2.

Hard to believe that we started this so long ago! The Galaxy Nexus, then the Note 3 for me, now the Note 4, and soon the Moto X Pure. I hope you are all doing swell! :)

I hoping that Huawei Nexus will be available on Verizon. I knew without a doubt the current Moto Nexus was going to be on Verizon but I'm not sure about the Huawei. If a manufacture makes the phone available to buy straight from them then there is no reason any phone could be available for Verizon as long as the add the Verizon specific bands. I could be wrong on that?

Yeah. So far Moto/Lenovo is doing it right by buying straight from them. I bought my Nexus off Moto when it first released. If all manufactures don't do this then they should.

I think it's a good idea. They've either been criticized for being too cutting edge or too mid-range. Now they can offer top-of-the-line or affordable in current models.

Win-Win if you ask me. :D

Well I am struggling right now with what to get The N6 is on sale on Amazon today versus the new Moto X Pure. I waited too long to make a decision yesterday and the Champagne/White Frame sold out and then tdoay this comes up. So confused.... LOL

While the Nexus 6 is almost a year old now, the primary differences between it and the X Style are few and minor (IMHO). The N6 is a little wider but they are close to the same height, and both have large displays. The slightly smaller display ont he Style accommodates it's narrower format. If you have small hands, it could be a factor, but these are both pretty big phones.

The X has a higher resolution (not necessarily better -- don't know) camera and an SD card slot, which some find invaluable. That's probably why the X comes in a 16 GB model, while the N6 is only 32 or 64 GB.

Here's a direct spec-to-spec comparison. See if anything raises a red flag.

Nexus 6 compared to Moto X Style
