Haven't chatted with the gang since the pre-release thread. Just wanted to drop in and say hello, and I'm going to bed. I see the night crew will keep things lively as always!

FWIW, I just did this yesterday and it worked perfectly.Moving backups/nandroids from phone to PC then back to phone and then restoring I've never had luck with.
Maybe I'm doin' it wrong, but it seems to me my standard battery lasts much longer than the extended battery. I've done some calibration and stats wiping with clockwork mod, to no apparent effect. I read about one mod that it somehow didn't include the extended battery info, but I have no idea just what that could mean.
Frankly, the whole android battery management thing is a bit too opaque to me. Any thoughts on why my extended battery might not be lasting as long?
I saw this once with mine. The battery had been in there overnight. I reseated the battery and it changed to red. It took a while to turn green. I assumed the battery had not been making good contact and hadn't fully charged. I have never seen it again. The new desktop battery charger with battery and y cable that I got recently doesn't like it when I leave the spare battery in there.

After a few hours, after it has charged the battery it shows a blinking amber light. And of course there is no manual for the charger to explain what it means. I also looked online and there is no info. The LED has 3 colors, green for charged, red for charging, and blinking amber for ...?
Blinking amber is not a good sign. What do you think it says? Don't park the battery?
Just got Zumocast up and running. I now have 2.5 TB worth of storage on my phone.

Zumocast is an awesome program, it makes streaming so simple.
Unrelated - I love your new avatar!
Thanks, Kind of like the Ghost Rider theme. What a cool movie.
Haha, I shouldn't be surprised - you've seen plenty of bad movies and not very many good ones. Can't wait for it to come out this year!
[Hide] YES, I'VE SEEN GHOST RIDER!!!!![/spoiler]

I'm doing a test today to see how long my ext battery will last. I have wi-fi on and Juice Defender on Balanced. Let's see how far I can go without charging...

So the nandroid is a visible file? Where is it kept on the phone? I'd like to double check and make sure I have one.
EDIT: By the way, for those interested, I pinged Diztronic again last night and received a response almost immediately, despite the fact that it was nearly midnight. Clay and I emailed back and forth until past 1 AM, and my case will be put in the mail on Tuesday when USPS begins operating again.

What may have helped was that once I had the new phone, I first unlocked, rooted and installed CWM. Next I made a backup of the existing phone which set up all the necessary directories and links for backup sets. I then checked to make sure my backup from the previous phone had the same files and directory structure as the new backup before copying it to the same parent directory.
After that, ROM Manager had no problem seeing the old backup and restored it to all it's wonderful glory, apps, settings and all. This might just be one of the best things about rooting!
