Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

So far, Sourcery seems a bit snappier than CNA. Looking through the tweaks. Will stick with the stock kernel for now and see how it goes.

Made it through voting with much shorter lines than it was this morning. Next time EARLY voting! :) Spoke to my mom who lives in IN and that's what she did.
 
I've done early voting in the past, but I enjoy going to the voting booth when I'm in town.

Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment, but living in a small town the lines aren't that long.

Anyone flashed the 4.2 Gapps and Wallet yet? Particularly with JBSourcery 3.1.5? And do I need a clean flash, or will the old user data still work? I suppose it should...
 
Download stalled on me so never got it (perhaps server was slammed?). Ended up flashing whatever was the latest on Goo. Believe it's 4.1.2 based.

My plan here is to MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP and then immediately dirty flash the ROM & these Gapps. Hopefully nothing will go wrong: if it does, I'll simply wipe everything and restore the nandroid until I'm ready to clean flash everything. Almost charged up!


EDIT: Please, dear readers, check your MD5s before flashing these. Astro is a free file manager and can calculate MD5s. Flashing a bad download could really spoil your day :)
 
I am never putting Google chrome on my phone again. This is the fourth time I've tried it out and that thing drains my battery like no other.

Morning all! Well a bit of a surprise last night, I thought it would be a late night, Nope! Went to bed at 10 knowing the result. Sometimes you wonder how much of the narrative is to drive ratings, haha.

So the DNA looks sweet, it's killing me I don't have an upgrade. A year is about all I can ever stand I'm afraid :p.
 
DNA does look intriguing. HTC generally has great dev. support (but being on VZW, who knows). Also, all I hear about them is atrocious battery life. Still that screen..... :)
 
I'm the same way about only being satisfied for one year before getting that upgrade itch. I really hope there's some shred if truth in mobile panda's statement regarding the nexus 4 and Verizon around January.
 
Morning all!! I hate the entire area of a ridiculous gas shortage. Its insane and ridiculous. And now we are getting a nor'easter and everyone is out again in very long lines. :(

Typing from my new Chromebook! Love it! Showed it off to a few folks at work. They were all quite impressed (as am I). Keyboard is better than my Gateway (which is island style, not chicklet). Still learning quite a bit from it, but once I signed into my account, all my bookmarks and tabs were immediately transferred. Awesome! :D

How does it compare to the transformer in terms of capability and function?
