Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Morning and thanks everyone! Looks like several of you found out before I did, lol. Had family in yesterday so I left work a tad early and spent some time with them. Appears I'll be doing a bit of reading today.

I'm in about the same position as you Anti. "Working" but more like babysitting. I'm here on a weekend skeleton crew in case of emergency. Forget the fact that I'm on call anyway, I have to be HERE. Oh well, I'm getting paid so I have no right to complain.

I believe it's roughly a $150 value. And, for $250 it's a great little web browser. I like Chrome OS quite a bit since that's 99.9% of what I do on the computer.

A Christmas Story 2????

Oh no....

They just can't leave well enough alone, can they? If there's a dollar to be made...

EDIT: My weekend task... to consolidate the photos on the dozens of various SD cards into ONE place, sort them, delete the bad ones, and name the good ones. What a JOB!

Want to come to the same to our photo collection Chief?? I've been meaning to do that for months and I slowly started sorting out, deleting, and backing up to the cloud a couple of weeks ago doing one folder at a time.

Morning all, congrats MSUgEEk! More color is always better!

Our wine tasting yesterday went exactly as we wanted... Calm, great family and friends. And lots of excellent California Wines! It was a long day, but we all made it through.
Today is chores day... Like fix the broken handles on the front doors of our car, pick up firewood, and pack up at least 3 bookcases... And go through the kitchen cabinets... See what to keep and what to donate.
Tomorrow we breakdown and sell all of our fish from our large salt water fish tank...
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Anyone running 4.2 on anything and having a relatively bug free experience or are they all kind of rough at this point?

I am running JellyBelly 10.2 with Lean Kernel v5.0rc3 and a couple of inverted apps... This rom is great IMO, has all the features for 4.2...and not buggy or laggy for me at all. Good luck!

Edit: Lean Kernel just updated to v5.0 exp1....

Congrats gEEk. Green looks good on you.

As much as I've enjoyed the customization of JBSourcery, I've never been happy with the performance and batter life. I have a few hours to kill here in Tokyo (230AM) so I think I'm going to try JellyBelly again.

Anti, good luck to those Gators today! Pulling for 3 teams today...obviously MSU, the Gators, and USC...one of the few times you'll hear me say that, haha. Really dislike the Irish.

Yeah, same here, plus GA. FLA has chance at Natl championship if ND loses today and GA wins today and against Alabama. Plus with my wife being a GA fan, would be EPIC. :D

I just loaded Eclipse build 3 on the nexus 7 to get my first taste of 4.2; about to do the same on my gnex. That was my ROM of choice when I had my droid charge before my gnex, figured since jelly belly never played well with my phone when 4.1 launched, so I'd give this one a try.

You others on JellyBelly realize 10.2 is out?? I just noticed. Available for N7 now! Downloading!

Thread started HERE

Copied your format from the GNex Ryan, hope you don't mind..

I just realized that neither the Gnex or Nexus 7 root forums have any topics for Eclipse Rom, I guess it isn't that popular here or something. Think it's worth me making and managing them?

I just had a major boo-boo on flashing Jelly Belly. Downloaded 4.1 gapps and flashed those with 4.2.1 JellyBelly....booted up and setup wizard crashed. Well, 4.2 Jelly Belly apparently changes the file system structure as well on the sd card so TWRP didn't recognize any of my old backups. Tried flashing some older ROMs and they all failed but one...so hoping I can boot up on that!

Well, I made the topic for the Gnex. I guess I'll see if it picks up any traffic. Might sound like a noob question, but since I've never really done this before, how do I edit the thread title, or is that only reserved for Guides and Mods?

In case any of you are interested in checking it out, here it is. Any suggestions to make it better are more than welcome:)

Edit: If the guides/mods desire, I will maintain more Eclipse threads for the other Gnex versions and the Nexus 7.

When you click edit, just click the "Go Advanced" button, and you can edit the title.

Oh, that doesn't jive well with me at all. Maybe TWRP needs a 4.2 compatibility upgrade?

Also Geek: in response to your question, no I will not come sort your pictures off all your SD cards. It took 2 days to do ours! Now to name and tag them, then figure out what's left...

Really digging ParanoidAndroid. Lockscreen widgets are kinda weird. I'd rather just have 4+ slider options to jump right into Handcent or Gmail than the way it's set up.
Anyone know of a 4.2 compatible kernel? Franco's app says neither his nor Lean will work.

I believe Lean has a 4.2 compatible kernel, it did come baked into the Eclipse ROM so I assume it is compatible. I'm getting amazing battery life on this ROM with this kernel compared to Sourcery.
