I'm back up and running with AOKP 4.2.2. The big test will be battery life away from Wifi.

Anybody have a clue why my phone volume goes to zero, seemingly at 8 pm?

I have quiet hours enabled from 9 pm to 7 am but I don't have any other program running that I know of.

I'm trying to get away from bedside, as I handle emergency calls, and have to receive calls from unknown parties at all hours.

I'm trying to sort out why the phone volume goes to zero, Going into Sounds and cranking it up only fixes it for like a day then it reverts back to zero seemingly at night, like a program is telling it to mute the phone at XXX O'Clock.

I think I have a setting I need to change but not smart enough to track it down.

Thanks to all for your advice on getting it running again!

No, they're called Access Bars, not available in stores. 40+ patents. They actually trigger the body to burn fat for fuel during exercise, instead of the body burning carbs (which is what usually happens). I'm losing weight plus I'm not sore anymore after a workout :D

You aren't sore any more because you have purged your muscles of lactic acid. That is what causes muscle soreness. When you work out everyday it doesn't build up, so you don't get sore. OK, Pup's done trying to sound semi intelligent.:p

Actually, you are correct. The soreness comes from breaking down the muscles. Lactic acid is the by product of that. If you work out regularly you break the muscles down much less and in turn produce much less lactic acid.

Consistency is the key to a less painful workout!....

On a new topic, who the heck publishes Android Magazine??? I'd love to subscribe, but it's in Play for a whopping $46.99 a year!

Have they never learned that to make more money you cut the price and make it up in volume???

Hey everyone, been distracted the past couple days. Busy at work, etc.

Kind of annoyed, took my glasses off, to clean the lenses, and they just broke in half right at the bridge. Didn't even snap though, I was finished cleaning them, started to lift them to my eyes, and half just separated in my hands. I have an old pair but the lens coating is all
Scratched up, they are awful to look through. :P

So happy I don't have to wear glasses. :p
My wife snapped one of the sides off her old pair. I ended up just super gluing it in place. Work fine but you just couldn't fold em when you take em off. :o
Eventually she got a new pair. :)

That sucks Anti. I had to plop down some dough for a new pair of glasses a few months ago. I got all the special no glare coatings and such and can see much better out of them than the 10 year old pair I had! Imagine that :p I like the way they look and feel much better too, so I actually wear them more often...still wear my contacts almost every day though.

The lactic acid bit is spot on and while there's probably something in the lower build up idea, I thought the primary reason daily workouts hurt less is that the endorphins (natural pain killers) the exercise causes your body to produce take a little over 24 hours to clear.

That's also why the aches and pains from exercise don't normally kick in until the next day.

And why you can get addicted to exercise.

And why some people conjecture that exercise can be a treatment for depression as the endorphins trigger seratonin production in the brain and depression is thought to be due to lowered seratonin (I think this idea has been discounted but hey: it's not going to hurt to try).

Hi Fuzzflyer and welcome to Android Forums!

I saw in Introductions that you have a Nexus 7. The forum for that tablet is here:

Nexus 7 - Android Forums

You can get all the help you need for your tablet there. BTW, rooting is unlocking the device's hidden system files so that you can basically modify and customize the device any way you want.

Great to have you here :D
