Root GB miui 2.3.5

It's the widget from SE I think so it's added to the ROM. I prefer FancyWidget (the HTC copy one) personally
 
So its Friiiiiiiiiiidayyyyyyyyyyyyyy :D who has downloaded the gingerbread goodness?? :D Steslatt how you finding it so far?? Any bugs to report?
 
Running it now too, seems good - liking the new UI

Battery life is shocking, though - will give it the weekend and see how it goes

Whats the main difference in layout from froyo? I saw the screenshot of the settings before personally I hate what they done with it! It used to be fine on the bottom shifting it to the top of the screen makes no sense at all.

Btw Eevek seems to have dissapeared lately I wonder if he will come back!?? He has to!! The public demands it! lol
 
Only bugs i had have been sorted now, first language pack didnt work, second one worked but there was a problem with the mobile networks. On the 3rd one now, seems to be ok so far. I had to go to the downloads app and change the setting to 3g because i couldnt download from the market.
 
Cool I think I am going to stay away from gingerbread for time being. Ive read folks on MIUIdev are having issues with A2SD and mobile connection, Stability is paramount for me!
 
Mobile connection has been fixed, was an issue in the first language pack.

A2SD seems to be fine as well, gonna tweak it myself a lil' bit - already added Sense LWP and FancyWidget as I still want that Sense-look ;)
 
Maybe its just me but from the screenshots I don't see much difference from the Froyo Miui that I currently have.

I think I'll wait a few weeks for any issues to get ironed out because I don't really see the massive attraction in gingerbread in general and in particular here. Most of the UI has been updated in the last couple of releases anyway, no?
 
Yeah I agree with you. Im not realy bowled over by the new UI which to be honest isnt very new at all. They have been including the new UI bit by bit in the previous releases. Im sticking with froyo MIUI for time being aswell!

What did you find the battery to be like on 2.3 miui?
I think i'll probably wait for Eveek to do a 2.3 version and flash that. They have been ridiculously stable for me.
 
I havent downloaded it meself but Ive read reports the battery is terrible on 2.3. Im waiting on Eevek's release too his rom is always stable!
 
I just got it today but it is my first download from MIUI. I really like it so fare and it seems to be fast and stable. The only problems I see is the 24hour clock on the lock screen can not be changed and it is having a hard time sync my contacts with facebook. But other than that I like it...

Well according to MIUI.dev website the UI is out in April possibily this friday but not certain. Just to clarify its made available for those phones on MIUI 2.3 Gingerbread that includes Desire, Nexus One, Nexus S, Desire HD. Check the MIUI.dev website for more details

Its Friday folks! The new dailer and phone interface has been added to this week rom! New music and gallery to follow next week!

Im staying away from gingerbread until they iron out the core issues! Its way to buggy atm. But let me know if they improved on last week.
 
Wasn't that buggy for me, bar a bit battery intensive. Other than that it worked OK

Got bored of it though but coming around to running custom icons and shit again so will give it a go over the weekend
