Root getting bored with our X

Anyone else getting bored with the DX? I think my problem is the fact that i like stock so much that i don't want to try any Roms. When we were on Froyo it was fun to try diff roms because no one liked the blur then. I guess i need someone to make a Rom that keeps the stock looking theme. Anyone know of a Rom that does that?
 
I think it's just boredom. I haven't really been motivated to do anything to/for my phone lately, hence why I haven't brought BWC for CM7...
 
yeah i guess this should be expected. I haven't even tried CM7 yet cause all of the bugs are a turn off to me. And i really need my GPS to be top notch right now. I'm using it as a daily driving gps at the moment.
 
Nope, not getting bored at all with mine. I was perfectly happy running GB stock .595 and just recently upgraded to .596 and then decided to throw on Liberty 0.8 and wow, did it make a different. Usually, I cannot tell much of a difference when I install a new rom, but I really could tell a speed difference with this one. I am not overclocking or undervolting, just plain stock setting. I also really like the new look of Liberty, didn't care for the old look in Froyo, one reason I switched to others then.

I think we've been playing with our phones more than you have lately, that may be why :D

Yep, I will have to agree with that statement! Since I just barely moved to GB .596 and Liberty rom, that says something. I just got lazy after vacation :rolleyes:
 
Funny.... I was just thinking this the other day. I remember when I got my OG droid. I didn't put that thing down for about a month straight tweaking and modding it.

Same thing with my Droid X, we had our honeymoon stage, and now we are just comfortable with each other.lol

The sad thing is....I'm getting bored and i've rooted, rommed, overclocked, imoseyon tweaks, SBF (cause that's so much fun) and pretty much everything I can think of. My phone is lucky to get used half as much as the first month i had it. Better for battery life though. I'm addicted to flashing roms and customizing my phone. You know your an addict when you will flash a rom just because it just came out. It doesn't even have to be functional and i'll still flash it just to see what it's like. hahaha Maybe i just need a life (or 2nd job)

To the OP's question. Darkslide X (GB) is pretty much based off of the stock rom with some bloat taken out and some tweaks here and there. But based off of stock motoblur. I'm currently running Darkslide after trying pretty much everything. It's a solid rom and everything works in it, (which bugs me about some other roms) but i'm in no position to complain.

I have been so bored with my X, that I have upgraded to the Droid Incredible 2.haha (which should be here Monday) and can't wait to start playing with that to see what it's like.
(Actually I just got lucky and they gave me an early upgrade, I wasn't THAT bored with my X)
 
I love my X... just can't wait till the new 2nd-init ROM's start to really come out... I think it will breathe new life into our device.
 
Maybe, just maybe.... they will unlock our phones on it birthday in four days! I love bullshitting myself.
 
Im pretty happy with my X but before CM i was starting to feel bored. CM brought a new excitement that i hadnt felt in a while. I do find myself looking at the newer phones though, but for once i dont actually need one.

so does it look like stock with just behind the scene changes? I may look into it if so.
 
darkslide does appear to be that way, i never flashed it so i really cannot say for sure, from the looks of it though, it looks as if its just stock motoblur with a few things removed
 
I'm in a holding pattern, myself. I'm looking at new phones. The Bionic looks nice and all, but I've purchased my last phone with an encrypted bootloader, ever.
 
well if the bionic is locked but not encrypted and we can break it, cause the sgs2 is taking to damn long for me lol

If the Bionic is unlockable I will consider it, but still I don't know. There are a lot of "supposed" good phones coming out not too far off :D
