Now I don't want to screw this up so please bare with my questions that I know you guys have answered numerous times.
Right now in the Terminal Emulator I am on :flash_image_recovery_/sdcard/"recovery.img"(return)
Before I hit enter I want to make sure I am supposed to change it to "vrecovery.img"?
*IHOrecovery.img- changed to vrecovery.img, right? (I did not do anything to this file except change the name. Is it ready to go or am I supposed to do something first? Not familiar with .img whereas at least I know about zip files
That's fine Sewster, it doesn't really matter what you named it to, so long as you type the file name in the command the same. You could name it dogbutt.img and you'd be fine as long as you entered the command with the same name, like so:
flash_image_recovery_/sdcard/"dogbutt.img"
Ok,so the IHOrecovery.img that I downloaded to my sdcard I changed to vrecovery.img(as per AndyOpie150's instructions.
On the Emulator I will enter:flash_image_recovery_/sdcard/"vrecovery.img"(return)
Right? I am using/changing the IHOrecovery and not the xioniarecovery.img, correct?
Now if there is an error in one of these steps, do I have to start all over or with just the code that was entered wrong? My "vrecovery" was in the downloads folder of the sdcard.
Correct the xionia recovery is so you can get out of a recovery loop should you ever do something to cause one. It will need to be version EDIT: 12518.4, I forgot your running 2.2.1
what the.....error writing recovery: No space left on device. Nooooooooo
So I take it I am on the right track, I just need to get rid of everything on my phone to free up space. Right? How much is needed? I have 32.48 MB
You need to navigate to the /system/bin. You should be asked to mount rw before you can get into system.
let me just download ES so I can help you navigate thru it.
when i open up busybox installer it says that it is not installed. it fails to copy to system/bin
I downloaded ES however am familiar with bluetooth file transfer manager and that is how I found it.
Ok go to menu/ settings /
File settings- show hidden files
View - Details
Home Directory - delete till you only see /
Root Explorer- check box
Mount File System- check box
