Both my co workers who got in on the 68.88 evo deal got their tracking numbers to be delivered on Thursday...

Ugh, just tried my luck getting Best Buy to price match Radio Shack's $149 and they said they don't match web prices. I'll just wait til they give it away for free and then find the same sales guy.

Don't say that! I got burned by buying the HTC Hero last year just a month or two before a flood of far superior phones came out. What is the rumored release date of an EVO 2? I'm not waiting much longer. I am so sick of this Hero.

Wirefly's Friends & Family is now back to $149.99 with a contract renewal. New accts are still $119.99. Activation is still free though. I ordered, on a renewal, yesterday & will be receiving my EVO 4 today.

The night I bought my Evo the BB sales-kid said "You know there's a new Evo called the Shift coming out next month, right." I hesitated for a minute and thought there's always gonna be something new coming out, and in a year if there is I can always trade up. But for now the Evo is exactly what I want.

Talking with him more he tried to say it would have a 4.5" screen and bigger processor. Well i checked on it and there is an Evo Shift in the works, but it's supposed to have a smaller screen (3.7") and the picture i saw wasn't flattering. And there is no definite release date yet which means it could be a few months out. Which puts me that much closer to my annual upgrade :D.

It may have a bigger, better Snapdragon processor, but in the end ask yourself when is bigger/faster/better finally enough? Get what you like or need now and worry about the next big thing later.

yeah, my sentiment exactly. With Sprint's Premier new every 12 program, at least you're not stuck with a phone for two years if you don't like it. If something new comes out, you're not more than 11 months away from a new one (12 minus the 30 day return policy).

Anyone noticed that the free phones in that Best Buy free phones in the month giveaway haven't changed at all. It's the same phones this week.

TS
I've been checking every day and it hasn't changed, ugh. I'm going to end up having to pay full retail price, which I loathe to do!

So got the phone today ($119 total) and called Sprint to activate and was done within 10 minutes. Also made sure that the activation fee was waived. No complaints

Went in to best buy, told them to check radio shacks website, it doesn't say anything about it being an online only deal at 149. So they sold me an evo for 99 just for good measure. Sweet.

What?? I need to try another Best Buy. This Best Buy couldn't pull up Radio Shack's website because it was blocked. I had a printout, though, and it said "WEB ONLY PRICE" across the phone.

I had heard that Wirefly sells refurbs. Can you check the re-furb status on yours...go the phone and use ##786# and scroll down to where it says refurb. If it says not available or something like that then its a "new" one.

I mean $100 is a $100 so I may have to return my Evo at BB and order from Wirefly.

Recondition status and recondition date show "Not Available" and Life Timer is 0000000.
HW version is: 3

I find it hard to believe they would sell reconditioned phones.
If you sent it back due to a defect you might get a reconditioned.

No.....

The instructions that came with the phone told me to call Sprint and get it activated which I did. I asked them to waive the activation fee and there was no problem. Was done very quickly. The person I talked to was in Houston, TX.

After you get it, just call Sprint (or email them like I did) and they will waive the $36 activation fee. They took about 20 hours to respond to my email.

Good luck...enjoy your new "toy".
