Family sharing for Google Play Movies and TV is on the way, and a teardown of the latest update -- which simply changes the app's icon" reveals some additional details about how it'll work. It's now known that individual videos cannot be played back simultaneously, so the ability for multiple people to watch at the same time is a bit restricted. There also seems to be a max limit of simultaneous streams that can be used.
