Root GPS fails on Cyanogenmod 7.0.3.1!!

it depends on how and what they are. some mods will change one thing and then break another thing. it depends really on the file as well. i think with gapps i just adds and replaces google apps. it is not adding to internal memory.

Ok than that would make sense to what happened. And as for the missing mbs I forgot that I downloaded gb keyboard which 2mb and I had saved couple of setting on some apps so that would make up for those 5mb.

I think me deleting that titanium back up and downloading the new one was better anyways since things seem to be more normal now.

So that boot animation that was the orginal which was 15.05mb doent get stored in internal.

boot animation does get stored in the internal memory. what i meant was that the gapps only adds to what is missing and not add two of the same applications like the market for example.

Silly question for you all: how do you know if this fix is necessary? I can get GPS, but it seems to take much longer than it did with my previous ROMs. Will this fix that problem, or it this problem an all-or-nothing sort of thing (i.e., I wouldn't have GPS at all)?

Also, it's showing the GPS icon in the notification bar even when it's off. Basically, my GPS is completely haywire, but it kinda works. Weird.

If you do the MSL, gpsclrx fix, this should fix any issue with GPS;)

fair enough, I guess I just wasn't eager to undo all of the customization I had done if it wasn't absolutely necessary, but it sounds like that's the best route to go at this point. Does the MSL change, btw? Once I get it, will it be the same number forever?

yeah that number is for your particular phone. it will not change.

By the way anyone who has tried the MSL code fix and it didnt work. There is missing step in most of the msl code directions that are out there.
The one that is being overlooked it that you have to leave the gps on while your entering the msl code.

Heres is the link over at CyanogenMod
Gps fix? - CyanogenMod Forum - Page 2

This is why I think the msl code never worked for me so now this is my only chance to get it to work I dl this gps driver fix and it did not work as well. So have to wait to get an SD card to finally fix my gps. They really should had this fixed before they let any of these Stable CM7s out.
