Oh and is there a way to tether wifi without the daily fee for my upcoming trip?Added the new zv5 ROM to the guide, credit to kwknott.
I've also removed zv4 from the guide completely and replaced CWM with TWRP.
Hi, why remove cwm completely? Followed the guide and went back to zv3. Used lg software, flashify and cwm and kwknot's de-odexed zv5, and zv5 radio. pretty smooth... must point out to some others (like myself), who may have been away from these boards awhile, if there is a prior version of the lg software on your machine you should remove it before starting this procedure.
I use WiFi Tether RouterOh and is there a way to tether wifi without the daily fee for my upcoming trip?

Please remove the link. App piracy is not supported or condoned here. The entire forums could be shut down. This is what I use:
It's available. That link is directly from its Google play page, where I purchased it. Are you maybe in a different region? Just search for it in the store. It will come up.The play store link says it isn't available for our device... I tried through the app and also the website. So if that link is removed, search the volt threads for tether. This is what I use, downloaded from a link provided in an older thread. I tried to purchase, and the app gives no donation option. I never even knew it was a paid app until now. So, this is our only option, unfortunately. Is there a PayPal we could donate to?
No... Boot image installs with the zv5 ROM. Radio still has to be flashed though.Do I need to flashify boot image with this? Going from. V4 to. V5
Deodexed tends to perform better...
Nope...it's just straight up compatible...never used it before this phone. Even if I had, if it wasn't compatible with this phone/carrier, I wouldn't be able to download it. Who's your carrier? So, I assume you must have had a previous device under your Google account that the app is compatible with?
That's the only thing I can come up with that would cause there to be a difference.
Maybe, but it's likely it's a network issue. Have you tried calling your carrier and talking to them?Several people have told me they're having problems calling or texting me, with it going straight to voicemail or texts never getting delivered.
Anyone have any clue what could be causing this? I haven't upgraded to z5 yet if there's a chance that'll fix it.
Have you rebooted the computer? Do you have other phone drivers installed?Installed LG Drivers and LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port driver is not showing up under ports in device manager. What could be the issue?
The links are down temporarily to fix a minor glitch in the Wi-Fi Mac address. Should be up soon, or by tomorrow. I would strongly recommend updating once the links are restored. Go ahead and install TWRP to prepare for updating. Yes, you will need to reflash the zv5 radio, so go ahead and download that as well. As for the space issue, try wiping dalvik and cache. Also clear data for Google play services, framework, and the play store.I have the rooted ZV4 on my phone which has been working great. However, in the last day I have found that I can't install any apps, either from Google Play Store or sideloaded off my SD card. I am getting insufficient storage error or out of room error. I did a lot of searching and tried possible fixes with no luck. Do you think I should re-flash the ZV4 rom? If so, can I just do it via CWM? Will I also need to re-flash radio and super.su? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
BTW, I was going to flash to ZV5 but can't seem to find the download link.

No unless you tell them. They have to way to 'see' your phone. Just tell them you aren't getting calls, everything is going to voicemail. They might walk you through some troubleshooting. Be sure to note your MSL if they give it to you, always handy to have.Paranoia here, they're not going to be able to know I basically did everything with the phone they wanted me not to do, right?
