i'm trying to fix my friend's Ally. he tried to flash Velocity .03 on it and he didn't partition his SD card or something. now it's stuck in a bootloop that goes from the LG screen, the Verizon Wirelss screen, then the Verizon animation, and then it restarts.
i'm stuck on step 15 because the phone won't show up in the LGNPST program. the LG USB drivers are installed but i don't know if the usb debugging is on, and i don't think i can turn it on.i'm using a Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. i've run the program as an administrator, i've run it for compatibility, i'm not sure if i did something wrong or if it's just the phone..
Have you tried just going into recovery doing a FULL wipe and a fresh flash? I know that doesnt help you with this but i just wante to make sure you arent making things more difficult than they need to be.

i haven't. but that's because i haven't looked into it enough to know how to...![]()
Without further ado I bring to you the:
This magic wonder tool makes it a little easier to get LGNPSTed. Simply download the ZIP package extract somewhere you can get to like your desktop, run LGNPST.bat and follow the on screen instructions!
I dont take any credit for this method, D2A is the super awesome master of LGNPST and I used his (this) guide to build the automator. It is not 100% automatic, you will need to set some things in the LGNPST program, but there will be a instructions document to help you get it right.

couple of notes:
1) The .bat file tries to run "C:\LG Electronics\LGNPST\LGNPST.exe", however, the .exe which is actually there is called LGNPST_General.exe. So, it doesn't run. When I manually run it, the program says I need a dongle.
2) I tried using this instead of the original steps because the LG software kept telling me it could not connect to my device (after it had already connected and established communications). It seemed to only say this when it was actually at the step of uploading info to my phone. Kept telling me to remove the battery, etc. and try again. Saw someone else had this same problem and your batch file was recommended. But that isn't working for me, either![]()
3) Android 2.2.2 Baseband VS740MVE.6040.1001, kernel 2.6.32.9, s/w VS740ZVE
Any help would be very much appreciated!!
Well i did everything right and i run the LGNPST.exe from the desktop shortcut i created.
When the program loads and everything it does recognize the Model VS740 and i put the right files and everything
but the STATUS says its on "Stand By" and when i click START i get an error window that says, "ERROR: Unable to load [LGNPST_Utility4.dll] Component Path= Version= HR=0x80040154"
I don't know what else to try.
