Happy 4th everyone!
Anyone have big plans? We were going to go to Baltimore tonight but plans got scrambled with work.
We've been to the fireworks in DC once, but it's just a crazy madhouse by the Nat'l Mall so it's not something we like doing.

The Wife and I are taking the kid to go see fireworks at Kelly Park in San Jose. After that, I am going to gym.

Speaking of the gym, I played well tonight (4-on-4 pickup basketball). Last game was to 21, win by one, all baskets one point. Scored 10. Still have 20lbs to lose. Halfway there!

Oh yeh it's Parades Season isn't it? I know they had an Orange walk in Bristol of all places once. Remember hearing a lot of noise, looked out my window, and like couldn't believe my eyes.

I thought, have I suddenly been transported to Northern Ireland?

I know they don't do Orange Parades in Inner Mongolia though, well I've not seen one here yet.

It is a rainy/stormy day in Southeast Tennessee....grilled burgers are going to become fried burgers, fireworks displays delayed/cancelled and outdoor activities moved inside.

BUT, it IS Independence Day, and it WILL be celebrated as wholly and heartily as ever, regardless of what Mother Nature has in store.

Currently on my SECOND favorite beverage:

20 oz. glass filled with crushed ice
2 jiggers of spiced rum ("Captain Jack No. 94" this go around)
top off the glass with Cherry Coke Zero

After about 3 of these, any day is a celebration.....

Currently in the same boat. Poor Doggie Treb needs a Xanax himself. I'm all for celebrating the 4th as we shot off some fireworks ourselves, but it's almost 1am here & there are folks still firing some off :thumbdown:

4th of July is officially over at BigCiX's house. Dirty pool, beer/soda cans everywhere, A/C on all day long, flies in the house from people going in and it and a refrigerator full of hot links and BBQ ribs.
