I have the Metro PCS Stylo 2 and KingRoot does NOT work. I have enabled oem unlock and unlocked the bootloader with fast boot, also usb debugging. KingRoot just tells me no methods available then shows me a number of people who have requested root and says the number isn't enough lol. Eventually it will happen.

I might look into building a twrp but redoing my machine now so don't know if I will get around to it.

How did you unlock the bootloader?
I have a twrp build for this device already, just cannot get into bootloader........

Better yet will it work on lg stylo 2 or just the plus.

Its just the + far as I can tell.... with lg devices tho, their all the same to some extent. Tribute phones were & alot of g5 stuff worked on tribute 2 ... Find it hard to believe there would be that much of a difference except theirs had zv3. If you bought one lately like me came out of box w/zv4. Mines already to zv6 with two updates ...
Kingroot is now saying root available when I opened it earlier today! It fails, but prompts to try again. Are there any things I'm supposed to do while its attempting to root it?

First time and plenty after it run through, failed & give option to que. Now it has root available below the circle and prompts to try again each time ....

One thing that could be my problem is with my device manager settings....
I cannot make anything the default device manager without this section force closing.
Either android device manager or kingroot, when chosen and popup has activate, clicking it force closes the entire screen.
Where did you find the Kingroot 5.0, XDA?

Dude! This Kingroot 5.0 BETA finally installed Purify which stopped18 apps from auto running... allowed me to set device managers finally! Its using cloudroot strategy... Betcha it works soon!!!

I was just reading that if you press vol down and power until the lg logo, let off power and then hold power again that you get some menu. When I did it, I got a menu asking if I wanted to factory data reset "Delete all user data (including LG and Carrier apps) and reset all settings?" I'll post a pic once my phone boots back up.
