Root Help Rooting LG Stylo 2

Sounds like just unlocking phone so can go to different carrier not root whitch we all want here more then any thing
 
Hey i got a stylo 2 for cheap the other day and was looking for root.. im on zv8 so I guess no root.. I'm gonna try to flash zv3 on it.. I'll upload the link if it works..

Hi everyone, i came into a issue.. I downloaded the zv3.kdz file but the problem is LG UP won't let the phone downgrade from zv8.. says the tot is smaller... I'm gonna have to find another way to flash the kdz file to the phone.. i also tried lg flash tool 2014 but so no go.. says it cant connect to server... But give me some time I'll find a way....
 
Those with the lg stylo who took the nouget upgrade, i found some good news on how to get nearly unlimited hotspot access without root...of course some may already have discovered this but im excited anyway bwahahaha

I took the zv8 upgrade...im now glad i did...theres some new openings

I believe you have to boot into a special mode to do the LG Flash Tool which I think is different from previous LG phones.. It's back in this thread, but I don't remember what it is off the top of my head. It's booting with some combination of the buttons down. Did you do that?

Do you mean Download mode?
 
Download mode.. yes... Volume up and plug in the usb at same time..

I will upload the files in a few minutes so if anyone wants to try flashing the zv3.kdz file.. the more help the better...
