The down side would be IF you ever wanted to go back to Sprint in the future. As of now it may be easy to say no never again, but you never know what may happen in the future. Maybe Sprint introduces something over and beyond any other carrier.

I was checking my sprint account this weekend and and it said under data that both sprint and roaming were unlimited, so (I am not sure if that unlimited is really unlimited though...).

Well, I'm really interested in this thread, make sure to keep it bumped in the next few days.

Also, I just saw a commercial for a Vzw phone, don't know the name. The commercial had two mulitcolored balls flying at eachother and then they fused into the phone. The phone actually looked a bit like a medieval shield. It was a samsung I think, I really liked the point at the bottom, check your TV for ads (or steam some youtube)

No, like the unknown, which is what I said above. You never know what's to come down the pipe. Why burn bridges? I've learned long ago the grass isn't always greener on the other side. I know you'll be spending more green on the other side, that's one for starters.
 
yo matt so I found the technowfiles page.. is it this simple?? I do not have to do this while using a sense rom do I cause that would suck? will 0001 get me on vrz tower and then I can run 4g yes!!!
I read Mr.ed post, wow a year by then sprint should have a tower here but I am going to give this a go any way...
 
The money doesn't bother me. I'm paying sprint for all this data that they aren't providing. Luckily I was rooted and able to change my prl to verizon or I would be boned on data. I'll gladly pay a little extra to actually get data from my carrier and 4g to boot. I pay sprint for 4g don't get that either...

If I can't get them to let me go I may swallow the etf. Because I can use my 4g in vzw and get rid of time warner also which you guys are unaware of my issues with them...

No no vzw 3g. You will never run vzw 4g in the evo. Diff radio lte vs wimax. I use it because sprint won't fix my 3g towers either and vzw gives me 1.2mb on 3g. The point is I'm using a ton of vzw 3g data on sprint so sprint kicks me because they have to pay vzw for all my data.

I can just use vzw 4g hot spot but it only goes up to 10gig for 80 bucks...how much is 10 gig? I play cod daily and watch netflix and hulu...internet is my cable as I have none...I feel I use more then 10 gig a month...?

Droid charge...don't like samsung. Tested today at vzw store, not a fan. Had hard menu buttons, felt a little cheap. Benchmarks low on both quad and linpack...nice super amole screen though, lots of memory, decent cam, not for me though.

well it was a ?.... i down loaded the zip.. cause when i click on the ( greAT i JUST SPILT BEER ON MY USB CABLE) ANY WAY) when I click on the link with my phone it just brings up the scrip.. so if I get the zip to my phone just extract it to???? or just proceed to ## ***#

Save the page as 00001.prl or whatever prl it is. If you get the zip extract it to wherever, the phone will find it.

Gotta do it from sense though....

I dunno about sprint rolling out more 4g towers...haven't seen any lately. Some say wimax will be a back end and won't see much update anymore...
 
never mind I got it saved but its as 0001.txt not 0001.prl... never got a save as option..( hope this aint a problem)( will find out).but tried the ##775# no go I think I might need to runn it from a sense rom.... going to restore to my trusty unleashed KINGS STYLE

ok we on our way have to make a nad first...( running gb r4 for two days and like it) i,ll rename thew prl in root explorer yea before we do the ## action
 
clearwire is in serious trouble.... wimax will all but die unfortunately. sprint needs to either invest in a serious revamp of the network infrastructure or its 4g will die. it seems like a tyco-esque system collapse is imminent. tis a shame... tis a shame indeed...
 
god I hope if I want to switch back I dont have to go through this... home skills @ xda need to put a pull down toggle on a rom lol..

+1 whatever wimax is out will remain i imagaine but i dont foresee upgrades and more towers in our future. Sprint better get on the LTE train cuz its leavin the station, they dont have the market cornered on 4g anymore and they will lose badly to big vzw who has the money to give everyone 4g...
 
ok got to the commit part and phone is rebooting now.. so just restore my asop nandriod right.. is there a way to test if I am infact on vrz tower

you dork lol how the hell can you know all that you know, but not know what clearwire is? just givin ya hell bro :) lte is such an odd thing.... its gsm on a cdma providers network... all vzw phones that have "4g" aka lte are world phones i.e. they have sim cards... its a ford chevy thing. same thing, different method.
 
yo got a stupid ? matt... the flex t9 Now this may be rom specific but every time I reboot my phone I have to install the apk agian or it force closes when ever the keypad is brought up.

I only had this installed for a couple of days while running kings 2point3 but I dont rember this happining like it does now that I am on r4 gb...
 
Never mind.... holy shit balls batt man.. my browser is is tweekin. Dude if this is vrz 3g. Cannot wait to Get on there 4g
