Greetings to everyone!!!
Just want to share my experience with the new Homeless Kernel v1.3.
I own two Esteem's; mine is base on the ZVB and the wife's is base on ZVC (just rooted and with CWM, I've been wanting to flash the Kernel on it but just waiting for confirmation that it works on the ZVC rom).
On mine, I've been running GingerSteem v1.0, I have tried it with different Kernels (for me its been the most stable one so far, its my opinion, plus remember not all phones are the same). I have tried, if not all ROMs available, then most of them, my respect to all Developers and Themers and of course testers and users.
(Out of the topic, I think that I should make a song named "All I do is Flash, Flash"). LOL. Ok, lets continue.
Last night I flashed the new Homeless Kernel v1.3 (I do have the LG Esteem Optimizer app installed). No issues what so ever, wifi works just fine, like the rest of the phone features. Last night I charged the battery (stock battery, wife took my extended battery, lol) to 100% then I calibrated it. Then I used the phone (heavy use) non stop for the first 10% (down to 90%); text, family locator, TMZ app, among others apps, but the main thing I did was surfing the internet (reading news, ESPN, etc.) Notice that there is no stand by, idle, etc.
Here is a pic:
Since then I have used the phone lightly/moderate (text, few calls, market, etc.) until 75% and now here is the pic.
Here is my setup:
My own Boot animation: I have two: Dwayne Wade and Scareface. Rockin Scareface right now.
ADW Ex-3 homescreens
6 Widgets: App Manager, Alarm Clock Xtreme, Simple Calendar, Data Enabler, Beautiful Widgets and Power Control Plus. All in the main screen.
I do like Power Control Plus because I can control my auto-rotate screen, battery, wi-fi, brightness(quadruple), bluetooth and vibrate and silent (that's how I got it set it up).
Here is a pic:
I have a total of 169 apps between system apps and user apps.
In conclusion, so far the Kernel its working great, will update if anything changes.
Thanks Kanaida for your great job.
