just got an upgrade today, but im torn between the nexus, razr, and rezound,
My inner geek loves the nexus and I know it'll be an extremely fun phone, but the razr has some great hardware and looks the best of the three, Then the rezound is a beast of a phone but is ugly as hell and im not a HTC fan. Why couldn't the nexus have been exynos proc and SAMOLED+HD instead of just SAMOLED HD. meh if the nexus isn't out or doesn't have a date of release by the end of the month i'll probably get the razr.

The X is the best phone I've ever used so I will miss it. I'm moving to the iPhone 4s mainly because of the camera which I rely on for my business. The X either shines or fails miserably in the camera department - it's just not very reliable/predictable. There will be things I miss about the Android OS and the X. Hopefully the 4s will do the job.

i couldn't agree more about the X camera. Its garbage. I did think about going to the 4S to be honest with you. I travel out of the country a lot and so the international ability did appeal to me that and the good camera.
however ladies and gents....I have an appt today at 4 to pick up my ReZound

Got mine on the 15th, now have a Razr. I couldn't wait another 2 plus weeks for maybe Gnex to drop. I looked at the Rezound, and just didn't see enough to make me jump from Moto.

You can probably get a discounted upgrade right now. You just won't get the "loyalty discount" ($30-$50) until March.

That article is pretty funny. They slam the RAZR for the pentile display and then praise the X2's pentile display that has been slammed quite a bit in the past.
Any display looks bad when you blow it up 10,000 times.
The Verge is hardly unbiased either. 
They have had nothing good to say about the Razr, and are a standout of negativity amongst practically every other website out there. Go to the Razr forums where they have a link to all the other reviews for just a teensy bit more balanced view...

I am really leaning toward the RAZR at this point, even more then the GNex. A co-worker got one and I am really amazed with it. I would say my only concerns would be:
1) Battery life
2) Form factor (it is a bit wider and may take some getting used to)
I am waiting to see what the GNex brings though before making a decision. The GNex is getting less attractive, as I am really not into rooting and ROMing anymore.
That really is funny. Most sites trashed the X2's screen. The Bionic looked a little better. And you have this site saying the RAZR is worse? It's funny, as a lot of other sites said this is the Android phone to have (right now).
Perhaps it is just me, but do we really need to worry about 720p and off-axis blue color shift? It is a cell phone, not a HD TV. I would say battery life and daylight viewing (yes I know about AMOLED and in the sun) are more integral to a phone then 720p.

I will let you know how it goes when she gets it. Not too happy that the software only works with the built in apps though.

yeah but if we get root and S-off on the RZ then the ICS fact will be a moot point
ICS already is a moot point--yes, Gnex will get it first, but the Razr and Rezound won't be far behind. I wouldn't let ICS be even close to a deciding factor.

I still love my DX, but between the Carrier IQ fiasco and my last early upgrade, I'm thinking of making the switch to the Galaxy Nexus. Still trying to find out if flashing a custom ROM on the DX gets rid of Carrier IQ or not. I know that because of the locked bootloader, it isn't a full flash like on other devices, so I'm thinking CIQ might still be on there no matter what. My contract ends in August, and I'd like to go until then, but if this CIQ thing is as gnarly as it sounds, might just use the early u[grade and move on much soomer.
