^^how many X users are about to move on to newer devices^^

I would love to see the Casio Commando get a bit faster. I'd jump on it if they do. I need a phone that is rugged and water resistant.

Seriously thinking about going to the two cans and a string.

I hear there's no worries about battery life...

I don't know if this is public knowledge or not, but just found this: Verizon Holiday Roadmap Leaked, Samsung Galaxy Nexus Shows Up Just After Black Friday

If the Droid X were released today and I had virtually any other phone, I'd jump in a minute. There are few phones with as good a combination of functionality, screen size, battery life, etc.

I'll wait for Holoscreen and Thinkdial. Until then, this X is fine.

Well partners in Android. I'm about 90% sure i'm going to the ReZound.

I'm still going to wait until i hear some real user reviews on the 3 awesome phones about to drop. But yeah i'm leaning toward the ReZound.

I've had the DX since release day and as other said, it's been the best phone I've had. After the Froyo patch, I've had zero problems with it. Lately it's been feeling a bit tired. The little delays from when I select something and it happens have been increasingly bugging me.

The GNex seems almost like a phone made for me with huge screen, no bloat, easy root, no manufacturer skin, latest and greatest and updates directly from Google. I'm a bit concerned about no SD card, but as long as it has 32gb, I should be fine. I plan on tapping it as soon as possible. Now if Verizon would get off their asses and announce a release date, I'd be all set.

I like the look of the RAZR a lot! I think it looks way better than the GNex. Also as a smoker I'm outside a lot and water resistance sounds extremely useful. I'm concerned about its non-removable battery but maybe that's not an issue in the real world.

The Rezound has attractive specs and I listen to a lot of music so Beats is tempting. My problem is also battery related: HTC + dual-core + 4G + 16xx ma (relatively small) battery = constant charging. I hope I'm wrong about that.

GNex it is!!

Seido or someone will make a bigger battery that fits the stock hole.
Only use 4G when you need it
UnderClock it down to the G Nex level :P

and the batt life should be improved a lot..

oh i almost forgot....slap CM9 on it as soon as its available :)

My Droid X isn't eligible for an upgrade yet. The primary line (my wife's Blackberry) is for some reason. Both were upgraded on the same say (Droid X release day) - hell they both came in same shipping box. Maybe I could use her upgrade for myself (and keep the phone numbers the same)? Not sure it's worth the hassle.

Anyway I really don't like the hardware of the GNex, but I'll probably end up with one. I'm curious about what the RAZR and the Droid 4 will look like with ICS. Maybe I'll wait.

I'm really hoping that we get some apk's from the RAZR...especially Motocast and that Tasker-like capability.

I'm ready to make the switch. The X is the best phone I've had yet <its my first smartphone>. Lately though, its been randomly rebooting, the hard buttons wont respond right away, its been kind of slow. I'm ready for a switch, I just dont know if I want to drop 3 bills on a new phone so close to Christmas. I'm looking hard at the Thunderbolt, it seems like a decent phone and I may be able to get it for around 100 bucks.

Been with my DX since launch, but it is dying. I don't have the luxury of waiting. The Razr speaks to me most.

i have to ask. What is it telling you?
"I can't quit you".

Kind of creeped me out at first, but I'm getting used to it.

That and the implied built in durability. I just can't get into the jellybean designs of the Gnex and Rezound.

I'm sitting on an upgrade, but I am happy with my X. Battery life is most important to me, so I am going to wait for the rumored 1st quarter release of the 28nm devices.

I and others have talked about this in the ReZound spec thread. imo i wouldn't jump to a first gen 28nm device.

Me either, this is too risky of chance to take and spend my hard earned money on, until it's proven to work substantially better than what we have now ;)

ill be dropping my X for the nexus. i miss the good ol days of a completely unlocked android device. plus the specs of the nexus are more than enough for me.
