at first i didnt do the busybox parts...but now i cant install titanium. i got back to the

# and tried starting with those commands and it wont let me....what do i do now so i can use titanium

In TiBu just click the problems button and it will install busybox
 
yeah! rooted

had a problem with adb and the adb listing but once re-installing the moto drives everything was smooth sailing
 
can you push the individual files to your phone even from within the .zip file? when I try unzipping it my antivirus detects a virus in the process and only 2 of the files show up in the unzipped folder

I couldn't get the MB810 driver installed for PC mode so I did everything from mass storage mode. Instead of pushing files to the sdcard, which isn't available, I just pushed them all to the sqlite... folder and modified the cp commands to copy from there. That works too.
 
On downloading the Motorolla Drivers

Do you download both the Motorola 4.6.0 Driver with Motoconnect (for the proper OS-bit) and the PC Driver1/PC Driver 2?

Do you get PC Driver 1 or PC Driver 2 or both?

I installed just the 4.6 driver so no you don't need both to root.

Regarding PC Driver 1 or 2, it appears that depends on the phone model(?) you're trying to charge. I don't recognize any of the numbers there. IMO, best to just go with the applicable 4.6.0 driver.
 
They didn't seem to belong on the X page. I can charge my phone without a driver so not needed IMO.

It CAN be.
I used Astro to extract the hack files from the zipped package on my sd card.
I then used Android Terminal Emulator by Jack Palevich.
(BTW, Its free on Android Market)

Had my Droid X rooted in minutes.
 
I did all the steps but when I got to "chmod 755 exploid", I get:
Unable to chmod exploid: No such file or directory

I quit and started over and got the same message. Anyone know what I did wrong?:(
