After 1 month with the phone now, I'm finding myself falling back into bad habits of not actually using the phone, just to conserve battery life.
Even though my initial experiences were that I was finding ways to actually drain the battery on the phone, now that I've been using the phone for a while, it seems that I am not quite using the phone as much as I'd "like" to use it, without worrying about battery drain.
I've tried a few battery monitor widgets, but the best one seemed to be GSam, as far as spitting out more detailed info on what apps or processes might be eating up my battery. Recently, I've noticed that Android processes have been consuming the biggest percentage, but I can't pinpoint if that's from my Exchange Push Mail or something else.
The strangest thing I've noticed is my standby battery life drops significantly, when I swap the battery out before I go to bed. I'll go from 100% to 70% in a 10 hour timeframe (without touching the phone). I have a feeling it has to do with the weak wi-fi signal from my room (which happens to be the furthest away from my router at home). I'm switching the settings to have wi-fi stay on, only if the phone is plugged in, to see if the 3g signal actually maintains battery life longer over night.
I really do enjoy troubleshooting because I know this battery is still way longer lasting than any device I've ever owned, but I'd love to get it acting more proficient than it currently is.
