Root ICS/CM9-JB/CM10 Development Thread

I remember a while back there was a blood's CM10/JB version functional with the 3.x.x kernel? Could that be an option to make a 3.x.x functional ROM?

we couldn't get USB to work at all with the 3.0.8 kernel for any rom. thats why we both gave up on it for now.

There is a old movie with Tim Allen in it called Galaxy Quest. And there is a line in it that every one should use with everything.

Never give up and Never surrender.

However in this case. Skipping ICS and going to JB is not a bad idea. I use CM 10.1 Monthy Snapshots on my GS3 (T999) and it is so much better then GB and ICS on many of levels.

My one request and I am sure everyone waiting on this will agree.

Please follow through with this until the end. So many good phones have fallen to the side because of seemingly insurmountable problems.

You people are some of the smartest programmers I know, I have seen you pull off minor miracles with the Marquee, I know you guys can do this. Just keep plugging away.

I do not have the skill level of blood or tdm but I have started to tinker on my own and believe me when they say the USB does not work they mean it and I am tapping every resource I have at my disposal. Plus having other major problems.

I agree. I, have been messing with the 3.0.8 kernel and got no where, I ended up with a kennel that wouldn't even compile. So I'm going to start again once my new terabyte drive gets here and I resetup my desktop.
 
Yeah I finally got mine to compile and boot after like a month but USB, Camera , Sound, GPS,and Vibration did not work. I became too frustrated to go on. blood and tdm and all the other devs have way more patience than I do.

I don't mean to be a bother. I've been trying to make sense of the last few posts in this thread. Are you saying that CM10 on the Marquee is a lost cause? Is it being abandoned?

No, but it's going to take a lot of work to get the cameras functional. And that is pretty much my next priority.

I'm finishing up with the spectrum/nitro. My goal is to get official cm support on the spectrum and I'm almost there. I'll be back on this soon.
 
Can I get the latest image available please. I have been running AOKP for a month and just wanted to have a version with hopefully less bugs. Thanks

P.S. AOKP seems to be laggy and the mic doesn't work.

P.S.S. How hard would it be to take the optimus black cm 10.1 and changing the few drivers to work with this phone?
