Root ICS coming to the DX

In one of the other topics he mentioned changing it to mess with a relative i believe.

Check - & - Mate :D

MIUI Control Panel > Carrier Name > what eva you want it to say. Ma girl has a 4g TB, so I have a 5g DX - This phone hasn't met its maker yet, its just getting started :)

All new Android devices start out being the most supported. Where it counts is how much support that device gets 6 months down the road...;)

This is true. We have been fortunate that our DX's have received so much developer support. I think being such a high end device at release coupled with the largest network helped. Also got lucky when cvpcs got the 2nd init work around.

I'm not taking a chance of getting that lucky again. I'm expecting the GN to get more support than the OG Droid. And right now, that's the king of support.

Back on topic though, i can't wait for some CM9 on my DX.

the DX is widely supported because it was the first real device to be a top contender for the iPhone, and will probably continue to being the best moto device made

i really dont think anyone will disagree with me there

Correct...

The X was a true flagship device...

i wonder how much support it would have seen being unlocked.. that always makes me wonder, the true scales of this device if it were in fact "open"

Bingo ~ I dig it

Sure, tease the hell out of us....lol...when can we expect a trial run?

Considering the support it received being locked down...it probably would have been the most supported device we have seen...probably even more so than the OG Droid...this thing could have been ridiculous had we had custom kernel development from the get go...

i may not want to get rid of my dx if it keeps getting better

Doesn't seem like a bad idea, especially if the Droid X gets a stable port of ICS later on. It could hold people over until the Tegra 3 phones start coming out. Still want a Galaxy Nexus but all the Verizon bs makes me a little tempted to stick with the Droid X until 2nd quarter 2012.

i dont see why anyone would want to get rid of their dx, im happy with mine, and i dont mind holding onto it until 1 or 2 months after the gnex is released

+1 maybe I'll pick up a Nexus when the price drops down to free for an upgrade. I'm in no hurry.

The price of the DX sure dropped like a waterlogged hunk of osmium so odds are good that the next gen of phones will do the same thing price wise.

For now, Im still plenty satisfied with my phone and will see out my contract and then some im sure. I am interested in scoring a tablet in the near future.

The DX compared to any of the newer dual core phones makes the DX feel like an Atari.

As for me, I am looking forward to the Gnex. :p

i played with my brother-in-laws bionic, and other than it being slightly faster, i can do more with my phone than he can ^_^

When I had the SGSII it smoked the DX in every way.

That said, will be getting the Galaxy Nexus. You gonna get one man?
