If Sprint released the Evo3D and SGS2 and Photon on the same day which would you pick?

Which phone if all 3 on the same day ?

Well it looks like the Galaxy SII will be here very soon.

GOing to be very interesting with two powerhouse phones being released so close to one another.

AndroidSPIN AS Exlusive: Sprint Source Confirms Late July Release for the Samsung Within (Galaxy S 2)

Hmmm, so if the SGS2 is going to be late July, I'm really curious to see what Motorola and Sprint say on June 9 about the Photon 4G (or whatever the actual name ends up being).

Maybe, if the rumors of a Droid X2 / Atrix / Bionic type phone coming to Sprint are accurate, that phone will be looking at an August release instead?

Ohh. My. Gosh.
Every time I decide (again) another news bombshell hits...
*sigh*

I was sure the S2 wouldn't see a Sprint release until September or later.
End of July? That's a game changer.

This decision is driving me cah-rey-zee!

gonna have to agree with you. while hesitant to get a samsung it really does look good in the videos. i hope some pics of the sprint version come out soon...

Same here. While I don't mind TouchWiz, I am concerned about the things I hear about Samsung and Customer Service. Then I watch a video demonstration or review of the S2 and the device looks amazing. I think the Evo3D is amazing too & certainly HTC Customer Service is amazing. It's just that for me because I'm a first-time Android buyer I feel like I'm flipping a coin & I have no idea whether to call heads or tails.

My smartphone is currently broken. I'm borrowing a "dumb" phone from a local retailer... so the sooner the better... I had disregarded the S2 because I had no doubt it would release any earlier than August, at the soonest. July? That's close. Not as close at June 24th though. =)

yes the 3vo has the advantage there. pretty sure my plan is to get the 3d and then if the samsung looks good i will sell it and switch. it is very strange to have these problems on sprint lol.

Hahaha... That's so true about Sprint... I always feel like the have the worst phone lineup and this year it's unreal how great it is! Granted, I haven't bought a new phone since 2009 and I understand last year was quite a good year as well.

At least we can keep watching the SGS2 threads here and see what issues are encountered by our friends across the pond. Doesn't look too bad from a hardware perspective, but rooting might be useful for system update frequency if not to get rid of TouchWiz. (Note I haven't been watching to see what the ROM progress is; I'm admittedly making an assumption on that front) After playing with some friends' Evo 4G and Evo Shift, I'm actually rather pleased with Sense.

I love everything about Sense except the launcher. I rarely use my phone, as a phone lol... so having the big "phone" button at the bottom kind of annoys me. However, I could always use LauncherPro or something. It's not a deal breaker.

I honestly feel like HTC makes a superior product, so I don't know why I have doubt. I suppose it's just my nature... grass is always greener syndrome...

Not for me. I didn't like the evo or epic and that was it for your choices.
I have an incredible right now and love it but the screen is starting to feel a bit small. amoled is pretty sweet i must say. too bad htc only used it for the incredible and desire before switching to sony screens due to supply issues.

I went and looked at the Droid X2's qHD LCD and I was really impressed... It was much brighter than the Super AMOLED Plus on the Droid Charge and you could tell with the naked eye the resolution was higher on the X2 as well. The colors are deeper on the Charge I must admit. I examined both devices right next to each other today.

The Evo3D is going to (probably) have a rgb-Stripe qHD LCD instead of a PenTile qHD LCD. Which basically means the Evo3D's screen should be even a little more crisp and the colors should be ever so slightly more vivid compared to the LCD on the X2.

Now, I'm not super-knowledgeable with all this stuff yet but those are some things I've learned thus far. I still think display or screen type is one of those personal preference things on a phone that only you can decide for yourself.

For me, I'm going to pick up a Nexus S right before June 23rd and use it for a month. By then, any kinks/issues with the Evo 3D should be pretty transparent.

From the early adopters of the SGII, I've read about complaints on overheating, yellow tint on the display, and signal issues. Not a good sign.

I think my approach will be to wait till Jun 24th; check out the evo 3d in the stores and reviews and then decide to either pick one up or wait for the sg 2. By June 24th we should know more about sprint changes to the SG2 (i.e, if it will have a keyboard or be more or less identical to the Europe version with support for sprint/WiMax).

We've heard a lot about the Evo3D but a lot of details that are important to myself are just unknown or pure speculation at this point.

No the Galaxy S II is the dual core Galaxy S.The tablets are called Galaxy Tab or something like that; there is the 7 inch; 8 inch and 10 inch (10 inch comes out in a week or so; 7 inch came out 6 or so months ago).

The Galaxy S in usa were the Fascinate, Captivate, Vibrant and Epic. The Epic had the biggest change with key board added but all of them had slight tweaks (amount of ram, flash on camera, ...)

Is the Glaxy S II the new 10 inch tablet?

Looks like this:

Oh Ok I got it. My coworker has the Captivate from AT&T. That's what I thought. I should of known it said tab in the name. But I'm still holding off for that EVO 3D and sense 3.0. I can't wait!

But EVO 3D are the specs better? Either way I had an EVO and am getting the 3D but that looks nice. I just love Android in general and recommend Android to everyone.

I swear someone was kind enough to write up a list, but I couldn't find it. Anyway, the brief summary: the Samsung Galaxy S2 is really, really thin, it's got a 800x480 SAMOLED+ display (non-Pentile). The EVO 3D has a higher-res 960x540 LCD screen, and it supports stereoscopic image and video capture and a glasses-free 3D display. Both have top of the line GPUs and dual-core CPUs -- I don't think there's enough of a performance difference to worry about. EVO 3D runs Sense 3.0 and SGS2 TouchWiz, both on top of Android. There are other differences, of course -- notification lights, positioning of buttons, build materials, but those are largely personal opinion.

Thanks, I was just wondering! I can't wait for the EVO 3D to be released I already sold back my EVO to Sprint. I'm going to get another EVO today and even if the 3D isn't released on the 24th I'll just return it before my 30 days are up. I just can't go till the 24th using my Lotus. :0(
