You do realize, that since Mac OS X is UNIX, you can change all of that, right?

Don't like the GUI? Easy, install Gnome/KDE/Xfce/etc.

Don't like key mappings? Change them. To whatever you like.

I have to give Mac OS a "win" here as far as customizing goes. You can do a whole lot of customizing, due to it's nature of being a UNIX.

Can you please define "customizing" please?

Take a look at programs like WinStep Extreme, HoverDesk, Cairo, BBLean, BEOS, Ashton Desktop, and about twenty other shell replacements. Assuming you mean the OS/Desktop/GUI and not hardware.

There is certainly no shortage of options. I run WinStep Extreme currently.

And yes we used to all be able to get a loan at the drop of a hat in the high flying 80's & 90's. But the Bush years pretty much put an end to all those fun & games... thanks a lot DUBYA! Now we all have to be financially responsible adults. We can't just run out and buy all the drugs and toys we want, then when the bills start rolling in, run down to the courthouse and file for bankruptcy to get the 'evil bill collectors' off of our backs so we can run out and buy more drugs & toys.
