has miui updated? I would like to try it as well. I get the boot animation and thats it.
 
Newest builds are on the IRC channel, I'm not familair with whats on the goo app.

No word on MIUI yet, I was looking into that today as well
 
Ok, now this was REALLY weird.

Got onto that IRC channel and dl'd cm10 and the gapps. was playing around with it, it was really quick.

I was just checking out speed test on 3g when it got stuck. next thing you know, it shut down on me and didn't want to start back up.

I did the long press combo and got to recovery and restored a nand. Well, it bootlooped on me. It would get to where it looked like it was going to start up and then show the HTC screen again. Did that a few times and then I took it to recovery again. I wiped cache and dalvik and system and this time reflashed the rom I was on before I tried cm10.

I expected to have to set it up fresh, but no biggie. I was totally surprised that it came up as if I had restored the nand instead of a fresh install.

I know I wiped before hand because I always do before a fresh flash.

I really don't understand this. On the other hand, i am really glad it came up, cause that bootlooping stuff is sort of nervewracking. :p
 
Sounds like your nand restore successfully restored data but maybe screwed up system so it wouldnt boot.

Then when you flashed the ROM (without wiping data) everything was back in place
 
that kind of makes sense, I was on the MeanRom and a lot of the flashes have been dirty.

But i am fairly sure I DID wipe before I flashed the rom.
 
I am on the last 8/13 build from last night and everything is going good. Note: MMS sending got broke in this particular build but from what I'm hearing they fixed it again in today's.

I am at 90% battery life after an hour of screen on time. I'm going let this play out the rest of today and see where this goes.
 
just saw that everything is now more or less working on this and I got super excited. just flashed and google now keeps crashing on me. is it working for y'all?

I've already tried re-wiping and re-flashing, and I tried going into apps and wiping data/cache for google search...

Make sure you have all of the touch sound options checked under Settings -> Sound. For some reason that seems to be the default fix for a lot of what ails CMX right now :p

I've still got a major wakelock, even in airplane mode. Need to dig into it a little more tonight to see if I can figure out what it is.
 
Yeah thanks for mentioning that. Touch tines have to be enabled for things to work right. I used to always have my phone on vibrate but I got used to the noise for this :p

Been on this all day and battery life held up. Just flashed the most recent over this one.
 
man, I love this so, so much. I used to think 'hey this ltevo is pretty smooth!' but sense can't compete with this whole project butter thing. it really is amazing.

the inability to connect to 5ghz wifi and the incompatible apps that I use a lot like wallet and hbo go are really the only things keeping me from jumping into this entirely
