Root [Kernel][AOSP] Imoseyon LeanKernel 5.0.3

You should have left the phone on. That is really amazing. Which rom you running these days?

I'm on Liquid 3.0. I've never left my phone on airplane mode overnight so I was quite surprised. I'll keep it unplugged on 3g tonight to compare. btw I was using the OndemandX governor.

Yeah I got pretty insane battery life on standby with this kernel.

I had Wi-Fi running, sleep mode set to never, k9 mail and GO Weather refreshing, and it was literary a straight line for about 6 hours on my battery screen. I think it dropped 2%.

I'm on 5.0.3 now...

but a few weeks ago on another kernel I was out of the country for a while. At one point somewhere with no service of any kind.

I put my phone in airplane mode got the following battery life with stock battery :P

Still at 43% too :P Mind you I was only using the phone for an alarm at this point and maybe played a game or two. For most part it just sat on a bedside table in hotel. Either way... standby in airplane was like 5-10% per day usage.

Airplane mode shuts off your radios, therefor you don't use ANY battery. You could probably go for months with a fully charged battery in airplane mode constantly

I used to get almost that life at night with wifi on and updates coming as they may... as someone posted above.

Haven't been so lucky as of late... even tried messing with juice defender (which helps).

Check your partial wake usage, and see if there's an app causing additional drain.

It would be in spare parts under the battery history unless your running Liquid, in which case that portion of spare parts is in Liquid Settings, under goodies>device

Granted 10hrs isn't horrible depending on how you have everything setup, but I'd suspect there's an app thats hurting your battery life.

My JD isn't working properly. It won't turn my data back on. I stopped using it and have been getting approx 10hrs from my stock battery with light to moderate use
That will occasionally happen to me so I check 2 things:

- make sure i'm not in airplane mode....sometimes accidentally hit it
- mobile settings, check the data enabled option

It should force data on. On occasion my JD does that as well which drives me nuts but i can get around it in 2 seconds.

The only thing listed was Pandora which I run at night (wifi broken so using data only now) I actually just got 12 hrs with 10% left when i plugged it in and Pandora running for 5 1/2 hrs.

That's not too bad for 3g/4g, IMO's kernels usually show huge differences between network data and Wi-Fi.

If I'm on Wi-Fi continuously, sleep policy set to never, the battery barely moves. 3g/4g.. not so much.

If your streaming at night on Wi-Fi, when you get it fixed, it should help quite a bit.

I won't be getting it fixed. Have cracks on the screen so I'd have to go thru insurance and i don't wanna deal with unrooting.

Today I got horrible battery. 6 1/2 hrs and barely on it. Maybe once an hour or so to check fb and here and Pandora for about 20 min. Spare parts didn't show anything out of the ordinary

That's good to know, I was always a big fan of green power over JD, but even after they supposedly fixed the GB bug it still wasn't 100% when it needed to reconnect.

Might give it another go, it definitely made a nice difference on Froyo.

so far it seems to be ok with reconnecting. been with it all day and havent had an issue. as for battery life, cant really say yet cuz i've been on my phone all day but tomorrow on the drive to work i should be able to tell if its working. this morning i had a drain of 7% in 45 minutes while it was just sitting in the cupholder.

Oh wow I'll have to check out green power again. It was great on Froyo and pretty much had it enabled 24/7. I'll test it out a bit and post back here.

EDIT: left green power enabled overnight and saw similar drain when I just leave 3g on the whole night. Furthermore, data was not able to reconnect in the 1min time span I set so I didn't get my usual nightly email notifications. Probably not going to bother with JD or GP for now.

Has anyone else moved up to Imo 5.1.0? Compared to 5.0.3, does the battery seem to have less life or is it just me?

I'm using imo's 6.0.0 lean kernel with thundrshead v1.2 cm7 2.0 rc1 and its the smoothest aosp setup I've ever had. i'm quite pleased with it. this will probably be my daily until we get ics!
