Root [Kernel][Linaro] Zippy V2.2 {UPDATED 9/27/14}

In all cpu apps i try (performance control, rom toolbox) governor/scheduler does not stick on reboot. If i change the gov. Myself, it seems to stick until i reboot but after reboot it always resets to min - 300, max - 787, ondemand, cfq. Why is this? Or do others notice this. Not really a big problem i dont think but an annoyance.

Edit: after uninstalling performance control and reflashing, it seems everything sticks except the max resets at 787 for some reason every boot.

Lol, I posted those settings in XDA. It's exactly what I use, except I let it scale down to 300 :p
Edit: also you guys MUST USE the app that came with the kernel. Why? Because if you scroll the app to the right, you will see settings made for this specific processor. intelliplug should be enabled. If it isn't, you will have issues. Reboot after enabling.
Here is my post from XDA:

Ignore what it says about mpdecision, I forgot the zip already deletes that.

Edit: some more settings

All I know is if I use the performance app, no settings stick and battery life dies quick even using the settings you stated. The only thing working for me is SetCPU but only after clearing data and cache for any other apps I use for controlling processor and scheduler settings. Not sure why, but I did the same with the performance app, cleared out data and cache for the other apps, but not much will stick, only a few checked boxes, not all of them, and not processor or scheduler settings. Confusious!

The not sticking is a kernel issue. It does stick. Just do not open the app again after setting the values.

Ok, so after today, I'm proud to say that my battery last much longer than it did before. Thanks for the help.

Alright I've tried sammyz settings and it was good for awhile, and I opened the app to check governor and all the settings and they weren't as I set them, I know you said don't open the app but how are you to know if they stick otherwise?

What i did with mine was set the widget on one of my screen.

i use SetCpu (paid app).
works well & i can customize it to look well on my screen.

If the governor switched, it actually did switch. I hope you don't have other CPU tweakers installed because that just confuses it.

No I was just running power control, I have 're flashed both stock and zippy numerous times and cleared cache in cwm but can't get them to stick, I wish I could but oh well. Als since I flashed zippy when I try to watch a video on chrome it reboots the phone, plus on keyboard if I try to save a word to dictionary it says unfortunately lg keyboard has stopped but then comes back, i'll keep messing around but I'm not optimistic.

You using A or B firmware?

For anyone having issues with governors and min/max not sticking I'll be looking into the issue early next week and have a new version out within the coming days. This Kernel source was built off the B firmware source so if you're running firmware version A, Your reports are irrelevant. If your having major issues with rebooting or extreme lag i suggest that you try out different governors and find the one that fits your needs whether its saving battery, getting max performance or both. Ondemand is probably the most stable governor that you have to choose from so stick with that if your having repeated issues until a new version is out.

Hello again guys, well i've kept trying to get this to work but now my cpu will not go higher than 998mhz no matter what I do. Even with stock kernel it never reaches anything but 998. I need a little help with this if anyone could please assist it would be great as I have tried everything within my power but still no results.

Is your phone hot? it'll scale after a certain temp. Also try hitting app settings in performance control and clicking use int.
You can update the app from the settings. kernel.zip doesn't have the latest performance control.
You should look at the kernel source. There were only major changes in a few places but the kernel is largely stock.

Also for anybody wondering.
Governors:
Lionheart is conservative based with different priority settings.
Wheatly is ondemand based.
Intelliactive is interactive for lower latency processors.
Lazy is low latency Interactive based without the frequency jumping.
Minmax is self explanatory.
I forget what hotplug is based from.
Sheds:
no-op is basically minimal to no scheduling.
Cfq is equal process priority.
Row is read over write priority. (Recommended for mobile devices)
Sio is for basic scheduling, actually designed for flash memory.

I did all these from not-so-fresh memory so feel free to correct.

No it isn't getting hot the cup just won't scale up past 998 and is staying in that state or lower. I'll try what you've suggested, thanks.:D

I have set it up just as everyone else has wiped everything and refreshed, still max is only 998mhz.

Hey, thanks for your hard work with this device. Even if Over clocking maybe difficult with this processor is it possible to get this device undervolted which will really help with the battery issues people are facing. By the way, I wish i kept my old l70 but i had to exchange to get my new one went it was bricked anyways, thanks again!

I still cannot get either stock or zippy kernel to go above 998mhz, does anyone have any suggestions, it will ramp up periodically but then just goes back and stays there with nothing over that amount even though it states the kernels max freq. I'm really at a loss here.

Something tells me your phone is just hot. I had this exact same 'problem' but it was like 95
