Not wanting to boot up. At the Google 4 color orb it shows a white rectangle. Then it starts back at the LG logo.
 
I'm going to backup all my stuff and try this. thanks a lot chev! you did a great job with this and I hope I will someday be able to help you in return :)
 
does this kernel have extended sound support? I'd like to use voodoo sound on this phone. I have viper audio but still. I've wanted to use it ever since the gingerbread days on my original prevail. (I have yet to flash this kernel...)
 
Hey Chev, I have tried to install this kernal 3times no luck, I've downloaded it twice, wipe delvik & catch partition, keep getting bootloop. I am running simplicity 2.0 with v5.1 zippy. I reflashed 5.1 and phone reboot no problem just won't boot when I flash v6.0. Any tips?

try making a backup of the working kernel, and then flash zippykernel 6.0 WITHOUT wiping cache/dalvik. I usually don't and it works fine. If that doesn't work, try reflashing 5.1 or restoring the backup you made
 
Sorry for double posting here but, the thread for it appears to be a little dated and deserted... Has anyone ever got AdBlock to install? Mine won't let me save settings... Yes, I'm rooted...

I have adblock installed. the app itself was pulled from the market for some reason. pm me and I can send you a link to the apk I used from my drop box
 
file updated, should fix the not booting issue now. It was more of an installer script issue rather than a kernel issue, The kernel booted your phone to the boot animation so its the system that wont boot after that but anyway should be fixed now.
 
I now have no doubt in my mind that this kernel lags out my phone and prevents me from getting into recovery. every time I flash it, this happens. I go a long time without running the kernel, and im fine. I decide "oh I must have just done something wrong last time." I flash the updated kernel, and it happens again. now I have to go back and reflash lg firmware and restore everything from backups. is there anything at all that you think might cause these issues, or what I can do to prevent them? I would love to use a kernel as powerful as this...

Honestly I have no idea why any version hasn't worked for you. Are you on boost or usc?

They're the same zip for both carriers. Are you running SimplicityXL 2.0.0? if so i got nothing else, your F7 must hates Zippy or something. Its been my daily driver since day one for me and a lot of other people.

I guess I just have a bad copy of the phone. I've been running the latest simplicity for a while. oh well. thanks for all the work and support though!!! love ya :p <3
 
So how was this reboot problem fixed... I am having the some issue, like it's OK until I Mess with the governors and then no matter what I can't get it stable again until I whip cash

I would suggest purchasing Faux Clock app from the playstore, its a good investment and you get to tweak the unseen features of Zippy. You can tweak those features to fit your needs and possibly stop the rebooting issue, i would also suggest raising your voltages and remember that OC is not recommend unless your sticking with ondemand.
 
OK and I am having problems looking at videos I can't watch any videos if u am not on WiFi and even then I can't watch them no matter what quality I have them set at
Edit : never mind, how that I switched the voltage I can see videos
