Root [KERNEL] Plague LG Connect LGMS840

cool slaven, it used to work on my first one until i had some issues with it and had to do warranty, I can only restore mine using a second connect which I can get a hold of but only when we get them, right now we have none so I got no way of helping, let us know if the kernel works fine, or if you encounter any problems

Do you know of an updated kernel that needs testing? The only one that I'm aware of was the first that wouldn't boot.

Any progress? I lack skill with kernels but will be happy to very actively test changes if that helps. Also any plans on a LV kernel? I could see those without extended batteries being very interested in this. Thank you for your continued efforts!

Hey PG since you have a connect now I was wondering what the progress is on this kernel if there has been any revisions done to it? or if its stable to go ahead and flash on a daily use phone?

I think you should wait a bit longer. Theres something coming that I think you'll like :D

not got mine to boot yet for some reason lol. I used Shabby's code n script, mts' and everything I normally use n it still wont boot for some reason lol

Don't feel bad. I'm running into black screen issues when trying to merge the blitz kern into the stock zv9 myself.
Hopefully we'll be able to figure it out eventually, just a matter of time xD

no real reason to merge the kernel src. Do a sdiff on the stock files mt edited to see if there is any difference between the 2, and if not just add mt's edited versions to the zv9 src. ;)

Or just do all the edits/mods to the zv9 src. ;)

I'm still new to bot git, and android. Literally got eclipse running with the sdks and emulator yesterday. Although I'm familiar with java I'm not with linux, so kernels are new to me.

Sdiff is (going off logic and what it sounds to be) a seemingly good idea, but I don't know how to execute it. I'll look into it, but I know that a lot of the changes he did are unnecessary. The reason I'd like to merge the kernel is to unlock the core speeds past 1.2ghz.

I'll figure it out in time. I'm just using it as an excuse to learn more about the way everything's called, and handled when it comes to func execution, and the coding syntax.
Thanks for the tips though, I'll definitely look into it.

Hey guys. In your kernel that wont boot all the way, what do your logs say as its trying?

so far Im liking the broken out kernel, gonna tear it apart and see if i can improve battery even though, 14.5hrs isnt bad. Its oc and has all the code already working for govs, io sched, etc...

If you happen to find documentation or switches for mpdecision and thermald let me know also. It has no --help option
