Phone Arena is still holding to the Snapdragon 801 theory:
7. A quad-core Snapdragon 801 chip

Yes, we know, we're almost at the end of May, and that's when Qualcomm initially promised to first start distributing its next-gen, quad-core Snapdragon 805 chip. Unfortunately, considering all the planning, testing, and supply-chain mayhem that usually takes place before a new flagship is ready for game time, we find it unlikely that the LG G3 will sport the new silicon. Instead, we believe it far more likely that we we'll see the still extremely potent Snapdragon 801 that is powering competing flagships -- like the Galaxy S5, Xperia Z2, or even the HTC One M8.

I REALLY hope they are wrong

I have a G2 currently after many years with the Galaxy Series, seeing the rumored/confirmed specs for the G3 awesome i though wonder is it worth spending a near thousand dollars on? for the Quad display, i know the 805 chip is phenomenal with the 440 cpu, just wondering if that's worth the price they are projecting

So looks like Spigen have published their line up of cases for the lg g3. If the render shown here is accurate with dimensions...then it puts the g3 at almost exactly 10.5mm thick.

Also...since the slim case has most of the top/bottom of the case cut-out, this next picture with dimensions are very nearly the exact dimensions of the actual phone...for height at least. That puts the phone at 148mm tall (maybe a hair shorter if any part of the case actually goes above/below phone...

So I believe we are pretty concrete now on the size...
146-148mm tall x 74-75mm wide x 10.5mm thick

I think your thickness if off. We keep hearing 9.5mm and this case matches up with that measurement nicely. With case it is 11mm. The case itself protrudes 1mm from the front of the phone, so that leaves us at 10mm. And that looks like a really thin case so take another .5mm off leaving us with 9.5mm. :D

Its living with the price as well i have a G2 "if" the price is near the same as what the European retailers are already posting

I do as well hope they are wrong, their "odin" chipset, or the 805, not sure an upgrade "to me" is worth it, my phone has the 801 chipset already

8. Optical Image Stabilization +

The advantages of optically-stabilized imaging are several, and not at all trivial. Not only do you get shake free video footage, but an OIS module can also allow for faster shutter speeds when such are otherwise unfeasible. That's one big pro for the 13-megapixel OIS shooter of the LG G2, and we were actually surprised to see LG improve that with the G Pro 2, and its even more capable new OIS+ module. As you can see from the video, the improvements are very noticeable.

That makes zero sense. It, in fact, allows the exact opposite. It allows for a slower shutter speed when that is required due to low light.

Right, I'm pretty sure what they meant to say was allowing for a slower shutter speed when hand-held / not on a tripod (and who uses tripods for phones?). OIS is a great feature to have, both for stills and for video

Phone Arena has a new article claiming that their tipster, present at an alleged secret pre-announcement event at a Korean retailer, has revealed the full specs of the device including the Snapdragon 801 SoC. :(

Anyway, let's talk specs. As expected, the highlight of the LG G3 will be its 5.5-inch, 1440 x 2560 (QHD) pixel resolution screen, which will provide the super-crisp, 538 pixels per inch. Also as expected, the relatively big screen doesn't automatically mean a giant device -- instead, the G3's footprint is almost identical to that of the 5.2-inch Sony Xperia Z2, considering its dimensions of 146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9 mm. The rest of the specs include a quad-core Snapdragon 801 and 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 32GB of internal storage (no info on microSD slot), and a 13-megapixel rear shooter with the company's improved Optical Image Stabilization +, along with a 2.1-megapixel front-facing cam with an "enhanced selfie mode". It would also appear that we were right in assuming that LG is planning on integrating a laser auto focus assist beam into the body of the G3, which will supposedly deliver fast focus even in low light scenarios. Lastly, keeping the lights of the Android 4.4 KitKat-based handset on is a 3000 mAh cell.

Pictures up. Sadly, this looks pretty convincing :(

Another Edit:

Now a Korean site is reporting the same with another image

It's a wee bit too big for my taste. Maybe I'll go caseless. I can't imagine having to case this big phone. And yes, the 801 is disappointing... They seem to be missing the opportunity to completely blow all competitors away.

Phone Arena is all over this thing like stink on a monkey! Here are a couple size comparisons for you:

It's unfortunate that they didn't include the OnePlus One, and since the G3 isn't in their size tool database yet, it can't be done manually. Anyhow, here are how the numbers compare:
6.02 x 2.99 x 0.35 inches OnePlus One
5.73 x 2.93 x 0.37 inches LG G3

152.9 x 75.9 x 8.90 mm OnePlus One
145.6 x 74.5 x 9.36 mm LG G3

LG missed a golden opportunity to blow competition off. Maybe putting S805 means late summer launch and they didn't want to push it back that long. Or G3 prime is also on the way?

As longs as battery life doesn't suffer too much, an 801 is more than adequate. The M8 has an 801 and a 2600MaH battery it it's battery life is ridiculous. Not sure how much extra juice a 5.5" QHD screen requires over a 5" FHD screen. It does have 15% extra battery capacity to play with.....

So 801 isn't a deal killer by any means, after all, all the other current gen flagships are using it.

I seem to remember another phone that was widely panned for its expected battery life, especially since it wasn't replaceable. The DNA was the first 1080P phone in the US, and had only 2020 mAh. Disaster everyone said. Well I have had the DNA for 18 months now (the longest of any phone I've ever owned), and even on its old man battery, is good enough for me.

Wow, this phone is very very nice. I hope they surprise everyone and actually release on the 27th! That would be awesome.

I think battery will be fine on G3. But I don't think it will be better than G2, S5 due to 2K screen. Also graphic performance will suffer a bit compared to S5, M8 with the same chipset.

Credit to KOLIO for pointing it out to me:

LG G3 Models D850 and D851 Pass Through the FCC | Droid Life

If you read through there, this is the part that makes me even happier to see (and hopefully, it makes it to all the provider variants)

Another point worth noting is that both listings mention wireless charging, a feature the G3 has been rumored to include for a while. The G2 had wireless charging on Verizon.

As long as it makes it to all the carrier variants, the G3 should take phone of the year honors.

It'll be on all carriers I'm sure and I really doubt there will be SoC differences between the variants.

The only thing that remains to be seen is if they add removable storage to the US variants or only the Korean variant like they did last time. I'm guessing it'll be there for all since the FCC filing indicates removable battery for multiple variants which was also only found on the Korean variant last time.

However, I'm likely to shy away from an 801 if that's the case. Probably wait and see if HTC delivers on an M8 prime. Been awhile since I've owned an HTC and I miss some things about them.
