Root Liquid Smooth Rom 3.1

So far I love it, but it has some quirks. For some reason it's eating my battery at a rapid rate faster than other AOSP ROMs I've used - even when the screen is off. Phone standby and phone idle are the worst offenders with the two taking up 70% of power use. (I have it set for 3G unless I'm in a 4G area and using it)

Also, it seems to have problems waking up data connection when I'm on WiFi after the screen has been off for a bit. I have to use an app called "Restart Connections" I got from the Market to kickstart it again and it will work fine unless it's been idle for a while.

Has anyone else seen these or are there some setting I should adjust? I'm to Liquid noob since it never worked well on my Thunderbolt until Version 3.0.

Anyone notice the new alarm sounds are awful? Caused me to be late.. thought I picked the loudest one..

Anyway, pulled the alarm folder, system>media, from 3.0 and added them to 3.1.

Just a tip if anyone else didn't like the alarm sounds changes..

You could probably go from 3.0 to 3.1 without a wipe of /system I had some modifications to mine I didn't want to potentially cause issues. Not sure about caches I just like clearing them :D

has anyone figured out how to add widgets to the lockscreen when using the sense 3.0+ style? the ring looks nice, but having those widgets is the one and only thing i miss from running sense ROMs.

edited to add: can "Liquid Smooth" be removed from the lockscreen and/or status bar? while i appreciate the work by the dev, i really don't want his name plastered all over my phone.

I use widget locker but I think you can add widgets via liquid settings. You can also change the carrier name "Liquid Smooth" to whatever you like in the settings. I can't use my phone right now to tell you where to go within the app sorry

I found the "choose widgets" tab under the lockscreen options in liquid settings, but there are no widgets to choose from once you enter that menu. all i've got is "Note: lense hides all widgets except music" (even though i am not using lense), "battery status", "widgets layout", calendar and music menus.

For the liquid smooth in the pull down notification, interface > status bar > change custom label.

Looks like lockscreen widgets are only for widgets built into the system, I would suggest using widget locker it is a great app

i normally use widget locker on every rom, but i was really hoping we would see a full port of the sense 3.0 lockscreen to AOSP. i can't even get it to use widgets built into the system through liquid settings though. i have been through through every tab of the the lockscreen settings and still have a blank screen with the sense 3.0 lock ring at the bottom because i can't find ANY option to add ANY widgets, system or otherwise.

looks like i will be going back to widget locker. i just wish they could get through the issue with it unlocking to the stock lockscreen. i have used both home helper and the root method to try and solve that problem, but it still does it occasionally. usually when i am trying to get to something in a hurry, lol.

I don't use either home helper or root helper and don't have issues. You do know the sense 3.0 lockscreen is available on WL now right?

I like the ICS layout personally, I used to love the sense 3.0 screen but when it wasn't usable on AOSP and WL I forgot about it and went to a minimal lock screen with no slider

I just flashed to 3.1 and now I no longer have my LTE/CDMA radio? Did this happen to anyone else?

I was using a stock release ROM before. I'm a bit new to this but I do have CWM and was able to wipe/format everything before flashing.

Just flashed over 3.1 over 3.0 with just wiping caches and /system. Everything seems to be working fine for me, GPS locks and all.

I had changed every setting possible, except the background from video to stationary image. It only pops up on video. I had tried un-installing the night video and re-installling as well. Will try that again.

Guess ill leave it on image for now.

I'm having the same problem with my Go Weather now. Do you still just have it on image?
