May Be Switching To Optimus M

I installed quite a few apps already, same as I had on the Ascend, and it's still screaming fast... it prob has to do with 2.2 ANNNNNND the fact that it has more ram
Please post a detailed review after you have lived with the phone for a week or 2. Cricket is supposed to be getting this phone soon, so a lot of us would be interested in knowing if we should consider it. Do you really notice the screen being smaller? How fast can you set the cpu if you root it? Does it feel like a more high quality phone? Thanks in advance!

Just something interesting I read today: Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., better known by its trade name Foxconn, is assembling the new iPad IN CHINA.

I don't know if this is old news or not, but I just read on the Engadget app that the Samsung Galaxy Indulge is coming to Metro THIS WEEK. It features a 1Ghz hummingbird processor on the 4G LTE network and will cost $399 no contract of course. Plans are $50 for 1gb of data or $60 unlimited. Maybe a glimpse into the future for us cricket users?

Not for this Cricket user. I'll never pay $399 for any phone. LOL

;)

I would never pay $399 for ANY phone on ANY carrier for ANY reason. Unless it could completely replace my quad core 2.8Ghz desktop PC with 2.5TB of storage, 4GB RAM, and two 22" widescreen LCD monitors.

Hey NY! That's a really great review. The phone looks really awesome. Congratz!!!! :)

So....are you going to root it now?

LOL That's what I was thinking actually....along those lines.

Cellphones are ridiculously priced. You can seriously buy a laptop for 399.

And I'm sure it would be at least equal to any smart phone you paid the same for.

:D

Agreed. My wife's laptop is a dual core 2.3Ghz, 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD, 15.6" screen, with a full qwerty keyboard + 10 key, onboard WiFi card, yada yada yada, and we paid 500 for it.

I was out with a girlfriend last night who just got the new Verizon iphone.

I was SOOOO unimpressed. It actually hurt my hand the sides are so sharp.

I let her hold mine and she was like...this DOES feel better but you can stand the iphone up to watch a video.

(like who is ever gonna do that?)

hahahaha

She also had some ugly matt screen protector on it that hid all the beautiful shiny finish of the iphone, which is one of the nicest things about it.

So she asked me who Cricket was and I told her I paid $100 for the phone and it costs me $60 a month for unlimited everything. She couldn't believe it as she proudly put her $700 buck $200 per mo iphone back in her purse.

This is Scottsdale....

Need I say more?

:p

My only major problem was that I realized I had to literally look down at my phone to hang up. Not a very good thing for a person who hangs up on everyone. (LOL) Besides that and another short lived battery span, It's a good phone. I still use my Ascend though..

Meow! Someones getting catty! I like it!

I need an adapter. You know where I can get one, but not online?

My friend just hit one up around my area and got herself an adapter for her Ascend. Both channels work. She also picked up actual over the head earphones (Not buds) for a 2.5 mm. She spent 13 dollars in total WITH tax. Never know what you'll find in a place like that. Next best place to try is a local Metro Pcs store that is privately owned, Sometimes they have some random stuff. (Don't know if there is a Metro near you...)

I know it's pricey, especially for this phone (it's not all that, 3mp camera, no flash that I could see in the pics), but any nice phone is going to be expensive without a carrier eating a big chunk of the price in exchange for you signing a contact. Let's say you get a nice phone from verizon or whatever, the phone will cost $200, your bill will be like $120 (probably more with fees etc, but let's say $120) thats $60 more than the unlimited metro 4g plan. Over a 2 year contract, 60x24=1440. Even over 1 year, 60x12=720, so it's still much cheaper to go no contract. However, most people will have the same reaction you did, and that is why cricket will always have low to mid range phones. It makes it even more amazing how good of a phone the ascend is for the money when you think about it.

There is a definate issue with the jack. Some have issues (Me), some don't (the ones who don't):D.

But it is a known issue.
