YesUSB debugging??
It's didn't let me open up update from sd, all it said in the very bottom was "mounted" something. I had do hold the up volume and power button to go to recovery mode because the down volume and power button took me to a white box with letters "FTM"Download the file and put it in your SD card. Now go to settings/developer options and make sure that debugging and OEM unlock are enabled. Now turn the phone off. Go into recovery by holding volume down and then power. Let the buttons go when the ZTE logo starts. You should be in recovery. Now go to update from SD card option and hit the power button. Scroll down to find the update file, then hit the power button. Confirm update and there you go.
Incase you don't have developer options enabled, go to settings/about phone. Scroll down to kernel and hit it 7 times. Developer is now enabled.
Sorry about that. Did it give you the option at all? It's didn't let me open up update from sd, all it said in the very bottom was "mounted" something. It's all good man, and it did give me an option of clicking update from sd, just not opening it and letting me to find the update file
It went straight to my SDWhen you downloaded it, was it in the internal SD or the external?
Not questioning you, but are you sure? Did you look for it in a file explorer? It went straight to my SD

Where's the root of the SD card?OK, move it to the root of the SD card. Then try that
It means to put it without being in a folder.Where's the root of the SD card?
Scrolling now very buggy - after performing any action... making a post / or a like / selecting or enabling... in browser / android settings / third party apps... Either of the following occurs :
Screen / page freezes in position or will not scroll past a certain point.
Good luck with correction of the issues. Wish I had help. I just want to say I'm taken back by the issues while two zmax pro's and 1 original zmax in my household run and run and have issue free reps. Just amazes me but there could be lesser QC in every thousand made or a few hundred lemons in a 5000 phone lot. Why else do I enjoy the bragging luck I've had with ZTE? Location? Network? ( I'm MetroPCS on t-mobile 's system) really would like to know where the differences in same devices come into play.
Different factories, subcontractors, dysfunctional coding department, penny pinching, counterfeit code n hardware up the wazoo...what have I left out?
I think I'll stay with B08, I didn't see much to make me want to update anyway and I haven't even used Video Calling when that option was there on my LG G Stylo. So would I....
Luckily for me B12 fixed everything on my Zmax. I had many problems with B08 right out of the box and was only couple of days away from smashing it.
Ironically B12 broke enough phones for them to yank the update from their servers... Forget root, I'm afraid to even do that now. Phone works great as is
I think I found a strange fix for the lag in the B12 update. After trying a bunch of stuff greenify, clearing cache and disabling everything that I could. I tried disabling google keyboard and installed another keyboard (chrooma) and after a reboot the lag is gone and animations are smoother. Please try disabling google keyboard and reply if it really works.
Edit: Please install another keyboard before disabling google keyboard.
Yea they paused b12 b13 should be here like any day and there beta testing nougatMy phone does not even have 12 yet??? So they are skipping 12 altogether?
