Root [MetroPCS] [ROM][4.4.4]CARBON ROM Kitkat 4.4.4 for LG Optimus F6 [LOTS OF FIXES]

I swear I'm not being ungrateful but at the moment my main need is to be able to use my headphones with a mic for calls. I can deal with the low volume with the headphones, and I'm hoping using an external mic will eliminate the echo because I have yet to get rid of it messing with Sitar. Is that anywhere on the horizon or am I missing somtething beyond the normal plug 'n' play?

To get rid of call echo you need to edit the build.prop. I forget which heading it is but you simply change the setting from "digital" to "analog". You would physically type that in.

Anybody else having an issue with google play services keeping the phone awake ?
it's draining my battery. I have tried disabling some of the services with apps like system tuner and disable services, but no luck...I have unchecked all sync options for my google account and also turned notifications for new apps or updates off
Location is disabled

I just don't get it

Of my main devices, all running the same apps, this is the only one giving me this issue

Theres a fix for it.. Google it

Thanks DM, I had tried a couple of things already, had been playing with disabling some services and managed to ruin my phone last week...started getting google play errors and later it wouldn't reboot
I just re-installed everything using your new build and wanted a better fix...hopefully what I choose this time will work better

I'm pretty sure I did this and people still reported an echo but I'll give it a second shot.

edit: Ok, so after many many reboots and wipes (Just an FYI for anybody looking to use the new kernel you should wipe first, then install the rom, followed by the kernel (make sure you have it on your external sd), and then gapps, and not install the latest busybox on top of the old one (although that last part is just pure speculation since I'm not anxious to brick it again)) I can report that talking with my headset (which isn't explicitly recognized by the phone) after changing persistent.audio.headset.mic has no reported echo.

However

I can't change the in call volume so everyone is shouting in my ear (the volume settings however to seem responsive otherwise) and if I'm not using the headset they are both still shouting at me and the echo is back.

Still: totally not ungrateful for what has been done so far and I'll be dropping $10 donation in a bit because this is still damn good.

And I'm glad the CRT animation is back without crashing. I like that. Now to re-find that script that uses S-manager so I can use Link2SD properly...

Can that kernel be used for Xperion ROM? Any chance the flash is working in this kernel? Fingers crossed :)
No only aosp roms best with Carbon and flash is alot more work then that he has done alot I MEAN ALOT be patient if he gets it he gets it if not this is still light years ahead of where we were 2 months ago

It's a lot of work. But iam gonna have to do 2 different builds of every aosp ROM. One for supporter camers using ion. And one for the unsupported cam using old ion api to fix the problem.

yeah.. Its not to that level...yet. But its far faster and smoother than stock kernel for sure
I agree 100% I just brought up GT's kernel cause he was asking about xperion. This ROM and its kernel have definitely improved a helluva lot. I'd say its better than stock as far as overall performance. Bluetooth issues aside its smoother than the official version of carbon on my Nexus 7.

With the massive performance gains that can be gotten from custom ROMs & kernels it makes me wonder if OEMs purposely limit the performance of mid spec devices to make their flagships look better in comparison

Iam thinking Bluetooth isnt a kernel issue anymore but ramdisk. Iam gonna try doing some more in depth tracing
I just flashed kernel.. Smooth.. Cpu's sticking good... Gpu sticking... But performance settings after the advanced sets it forces close.

Yeah it doesn't like thee performance setting... I use faux kernel enhancement personally since I built this kernel to work with it
