Root [MetroPCS] [ROM][F6] Xperion ROM **Updated 2/11/2015**

That's strange since I don't edit any key/button files, I leave all that stock. All I can suggest is to try another rom.

I tried cyanogen mod to see and its the same thing, buttons wont work or sometimes work but you have to press hard, in the stock rom was working fine, it has a tempered glass on the screen , that could be making any difference??

If your buttons don't work with any of the roms we have available then you'll probably have to stick to the stock rom.

Great ROM, it is usually super smooth, but occasionally, it slows to a crawl. It seems to be either Google Now Search Launcher, or Chrome. Is there any way to tell what program slows down your phone? I am using link2sd, but have not linked either of these programs.

I stopped using chrome mad slow...i use stock and Nova launcher...the greenify app is great if you have alot of stuff running in the background like Facebook gmail etc etc...I shutoff all notifications except for the basic text messages and missed calls

Guess I need to dump the google stuff, I really like the google now launcher, but if it is slow its not worth it.

I do have a bug maybe. When I hold power and then power off and restart, the phone sticks at the Xperion screen.

I never used that launcher but I'm assuming it takes alot of resources...I use Nova because its just right for this phone...its like getting a pair of Jordans that are a size 8 when I'm a size 10 feel me...this is the best rom for this phone but the hardware specs could only take so much from apps that are meant for high end phones

That's not an issue with the rom. Maybe you should download the rom again and flash it.

This time test before you do any mods like link2sd or changing of apps. Also don't move system apps to external sd, you should only be moving user apps. You do not gain internal space from moving system apps since the system partition has its own allocated space separate from the internal space.

Yeah, google now launcher is a piece of crap. Nova is the fastest least resource using launcher on the play store and is based off CyanogenMod. Not everyone likes Nova, but it is considered the best launcher for speed, smoothness, and reliability.

Thanks, I'll go back to Nova. In link2sd there is an option to integrate system files updates into the system, does this move them to the system folder freeing up space?

Yeah that moves them to system. In my experience though I have encountered issues from using that feature. It caused apps to lag and crash for me so use it at your own risk.

Titanium Backup pro has that feature also and it caused the same issues for me as well.

i flashed XPERION sept 2 version...then link2sd ....

it creates script and mounts (supposedly) ..

but i still get the storage deal....

Hey GT u think u can walk me thru on how to get the original lock screen back

I can't download this ROM (company internet blocked his web filtering as game site lol -_-) so I cannot give you 100% correct detail but my guess would be..

1) @ Build Prop, set these two values to true

ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=true
ro.lge.capp_resource=true

2) Put LG Lock related apps back

LockScreen3.apk
LockScreenSEttings.apk

3) Restart and see if it works.

GT will give better answer later but meanwhile you can try above and see if it works :)

I made other changes so no that isn't gonna fully work. I did give the following warning in the rom update...

NOTE:
If you do not like AOSP lockscreen, do not update.

You can restore a backup from prior to updating if you prefer the LG stock lockscreen.

I the exact same issue. It as working fine for a couple days. Now it lags real bad.

ROM Updated

CHANGES:
  • Removed Android L keyboard just in case it causes the rom to lag (replaced with LG keyboard).
  • Added "Build number" date to system info - see screenshot below
  • Speed tweak to Frandom

NOTE:
I also included a link to the previous rom version dated 8/19/2014 for those that like that version more than the latest.
