Call it want you want, that's to be expected since you've never spent countless hours making a rom to then have some random dude tell people in the rom's thread to go install another rom.

By all means promote the rom you like, I have no problem with that... Just not in this thread. This thread is already hosting a rom which is the threads topic.

And I clicked the like on your posts out of courtesy. Now that I know how you feel about the like button, I'll stop.

Oh and by the way, in case you haven't noticed when someone asks me about a rom I rarely promote my own. I just tell them to take their pick since they're all good roms.
 
Well.

@GameTheory was too gentle to call for mod help but others here had no problem with it.

Perhaps some of you have heard of me, for those on Tapatalk or our app and can't see - I kinda pass as a mod around here, since 2010.

So here's what I've done -
  • I've cleaned the thread of the latest and worst of what I saw
  • I left one post by Game Theory quoting @Dastardly Muffin
    • As far as I'm concerned, that's equal time to both views and that's fair enough

Here's what everyone needs to be on-board with and I won't have it any other way -
  • I'm not mad, I never mod in anger
  • None of this is personal for me - I work for the good of the forums
  • As my old sig used to say - these are our forums, we're all in this together so let's keep it cool :cool:

Here's my call -
  • The thread title is - [ROM][MS500][F6] Xperion ROM **Updated 2/11/2015**
  • Anything not related directly to that and it's within the OP's purview to politely ask that it cease
  • That request is to be honored - this is a rom/dev thread
  • If anyone does not like the request, you tap the OP's name, select the option to start a private conversation with them
    • Anything in dispute is not related to the rom thread title and is therefore drama by definition, and no one here wants to see it - nor should they have to
    • You sort it out together
    • If that's not happening, no throwing the teddy bears out of the carriage, you invite me into the conversation and I'll be glad to mediate impartially
    • Anyone is free to ask me anything, and I'm free to give no as the answer

Some of you will like my call, some won't - but it's my call and there it is.

Don't like it? That's fair enough - tap my name, drop me a line, my door is always open.

Consider this a formal mod warning that there is to be no third way to respond to this matter. Anyone posting further on this issue does so at their own risk.

I hope everyone either sees the wisdom of the decision or at least are all equal in their hate for me if not.

Either way, let's put a ribbon and bow on this, toss a tasty snack to the family dog (DoglyMon likes bacon cheeseburgers), and go forth having an excellent day being excellent to one another and having excellent Android fun.

I tried the original stock rom but unfortunately it didn't work and I heard somewhere on the internet that if you modify the kernel you can be able to use Sixaxis and since freedom kernel is being used I was wondering if it would be compatible.

My answer is still the same as the one I gave you in the other forum... "If it does not work on stock then it will not work on this rom no matter the kernel". I did not make any mods for sixaxis in my kernel, since I'm not a gamer it didn't even cross my mind. Hope this clarifies more for you since you've ask me 3 times about it.

Thanks for your contributions to the F6, I'm a big fan!

I'm running the 2.11.2015 version of your ROM and trying to use Xperion_BGs_9_20_2014.zip. I get through all the steps until it says installing but it hangs at 0%. Any idea what may be going wrong?

My bad I just got on the site right now. I'm gonna download the backgrounds right now and flash to see if there's anything wrong with the zip. I'll be back in a couple minutes.

Hmmm I don't know what to tell you. I just flashed the background and it installed fine. What recovery are you using? I'm using TWRP recovery.

I took a screenshot below of what the completion screen looks like. I flashed Xgroove (love that background lol).

Does anyone know why every time I press the home button is brings up a launcher options box asking me to complete the action using 'Home' or 'Nova Launcher'?

I checked under Nova settings > Gestures and Buttons, but I don't know what I should change this to. Under button actions, I see the following:
Home Button: Show Previews
Only on Default Screen: checked
Long-press Menu: Search

Is there any way of porting KitKat's emoticons on to a keyboard for this rom? Just curious cause if that would be possible this rom would be the best thing that ever happened to this phone, on top of what it already is ;)

Nah, just look around the internet or play store for a custom keyboard that might have them emoticons.

That's normal, your ram should be mostly full and that's a good thing.

I'm not debating or discussing that here though since the ram myth has been debunked a long time ago and it's not a topic for this thread.

Tried the program a second time and it hung at the installing screen again :(

Edit: Maybe a clue - both times that the program hung I created a new back-up & deleted an old one before installing the backgrounds zip file. I tried again today immediately after booting into recovery and the program worked.

which is the name in the systemUI , the black bar where this date and button settings in the notifications panel ? I can put a screenshot to better understand me ?
