There is a new beta release for MikG. Check it out. Very nice additions to the tweaks in settings. This is not my work.

MikG v3.0 B1 [11/30/2011]

This is 100% as stable as mikg 2.61,.... and the only reason its not "official" is because tweaks are still being added.
why beta!? well... cuz i dont want u guys to start and skin things that are still in the works.

i must take a sec to thanks romanbb and rcteam for a lot of the base tweaks.
also, a huge thanks to chingy, newtoroot and mclovin for all the work on this version of tweaks.

the big diff here is that there are A LOT more tweaks... also more speed...

im not gonna list all the extra tweaks... u guys should check it out yourself, a lot of options in there and the goal is that in the end u guys will be able to skin everything from that tweak app.

FULL WIPE PLEASE!

i would like to hear feedback on the tweaks... and feel free to make suggestions.

so far in tweaks:
Animations Speeds
Font sizes
Debloater
3 Lockscreens changeable one the fly (honey/vanila/htc)
Tons of fonts to choose from
All Htchub apps/widget/skins downloadable (so u wont have to login to htc hub to get it)
Various bootanimations
Various vol rocker sounds
Softkey light tweaks (on/always on/off)
All the tweaks from 2.61
A lot more... the list is long trust me...
i plan on adding a rootexplorer for u guys... and basically lots more changes on the fly to choose from instead of rebooting to see the change... feel free to make suggestion and ask for things u would like me to add to it like kernels, full themes, a2sd commands, etc. (keep in mind that this app need to be used on sense 2.1/3.0/3.5 roms... so some stuff must be grayed out for mikg)

Just for a quick change log info to see the diff in apps from 2.61 and such:
 
I love his ROMs but I think I am sticking with CM7, just can't beat the battery life and performance IMO.

I liked CM7 based roms myself. I switched over to Mik roms and love them enough to theme them. They get better and better with each update. I also get about the same battery life with his roms as I did with CM7 based roms and tiamat kernels. As far as performance, I have no lag issues and everything is fast.
 
I was a MikG fan since MikFroyo and before but made the switch to CM7 when I had a few issues that were unresolved after several updates and couldn't be happier. My initial reaction was sadness to missing Sense widgets and what not but I'm over all that now because everything else just works better. Not really anything else I could ask for and am quite happy with CM7 and even have a release candidate that works so well I never bothered to upgrade to the official CM7. MikG just felt too restrained for me and I LOVE the ability to go into CM settings and ADW settings and basically being able to adjust everything the phone does from those two menus. I can make my phone the way I want it as opposed to how some dev wants it which I like because some things the devs do aren't to my liking.

True, but just sticking with the same rom is too boring for most of us. haha. But everyone is obviously different. I rooted my boss's phone and he has ran MikFroyo for the last 6 months just because he doesn't want to mess with having to wipe his phone.

That's understandable. I know there are folks out there that love switching ROMs weekly and in some cases daily. I'm of the opposite end of the spectrum where I like to find a ROM that does all I want/need then run it for half a year or more before there's something new I can't live without because I hate setting everything up again. My wife has been running an OLD version of MikFroyo since it came out... almost a year now actually. It's themed pink and she loves it. Sure she could get a few new features but that means starting over on Paradise Island again so she's not about to do that. :D

Paradise Island meaning a game? TB will back that up and restore it with the free version. As far as Pink themes, I have one out to Mikg 2.59 and will be updating to 2.61 and 3.00 soon. Just an FYI if you decide to try them out. There is also a purple theme by Nick1313 and I will have a teal one out soon for mikg as well.

We both have the paid version of Titanium Backup and while I do backups regularly I hope I never need to use them because I tried once to backup when my Evo got in a boot loop and even though it restored some info it was bork beyond repair so I had to uninstall and start over. I have backed up all other apps countless times including games but this one for whatever reason is different. You can't recover it and if you do you'll get error messages all the time.

Odd. I have never had an issue with TB restoring though I have not installed that particular game. Just letting you know that there are options for themes if you decide to get her phone up to date.

Neither had I prior to this specific game so I'm not going to chance it again. CM7 for me until I get sick of this game.
 
I am going to wait for the official version. I just started using 2.61 yesterday, and am just settling into it. Do you anticipate an official release with all tweaks sometime next week?

You really never know when official releases are coming.

However, I would probably wait for the official version if I were in your shoes. The newly added available tweaks are nice, but its nothing you have to have this instant.
 
Will Titanium Backup(paid) save your progress in games? Every time I flash a new rom my little boy loses all of his progress on Plants and Zombies, which is on my phone. Swore I wouldn't flash again for a while but that was before I saw Mik3.0 B.

I guess you really can't ask for anything more than to be able to set your phone up just the way you want it. :)

So does TB save game data or not? :p
What I didn't know though was the don't restore system data part. How do I avoid restoring system data when flashing a new rom?
*edit* I'm guessing I leave "system data" unchecked in the reboot process?
