Root Miui update!!

Try installing another kernel like Mac kernel (I used Mac 2.6). Will fix the multi-touch issues.

Also my battery life has been better. I set my cpu to around 1.3Ghz and turned the other cpu off. Still incredibly smooth like iOs at that speed. Now I'm getting great battery life. It should be noted I am running mac kernel 2.6 ( old stock kernel), not current Mirage, because of touchscreen issues.

Are you positive that everything VM related is fixed?

I saw reports that MMS works with it but nothing about VVM.

VVM did not work properly for me, I had someone sent me a voicemail and got a 9016 message asking me to dial a number xxx-xxx-xxxx to hear the voicemail.

I never got a voicemail notification and dialing that number has an automated person saying dectecting my phone with SMS something and whether I have upgraded my phone.

What option did you choose during installation? Install everything, Rom only or custom?
 
So I flashed the latest build by digitalhigh and confirmed MMS working when choosing Virgin Mobile in installer. Haven't tried VVM though but I was having a problem where if I open VVM and click on the Welcome To Voicemail message the app would freeze and phone would reboot.
I did a clean flash after and that problem seem to went away but still haven't tested VVM so if anyone could please do and report if it works. Thanks

I have been testing all day today. MMS is fixed with everything running smooth!
However, exactly like you. i had the same problem when opening VVM and tapping the "Welcome to Voicemail," it froze and my phone rebooted ! lol.
Also, i called and left a VM but only got the 9016 msg telling me about it. the VVM app got nothing lol so still not working.
at least we getting the 9016 msgs letting us know. it is a progress but still no good.

That vvm app seems to be an ICS version.
MIUI is android 4.1.2 so there might lies the problems

I'm wondering if flashing the vvm fix from the g60madman fix would work? since that one is updated.

Can you try that?

mmm maybe maybe. I will definitely try it out !. as soon i get to it i will post back with my findings. thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks :) remember to flash only the VVM (download the zip and just remove the MMS.apk from it and flash follow the instructions by g60madman by flashing once, open app let it provision. then flash again.

ohhh ok ok. cuz i just did a clean install and flashed the VVM right after and that didnt work. vvm just kept foreclosing hehe.
let me restore my backup and try again doing what u said ;)

So i did what you suggested and followed the g60madman instructions on this link http://androidforums.com/evo-v-4g-all-things-root/696924-rom-angry-bean-cm-10-1-build-4-9-13-a-7.html#post5719863

I called my cell and nothing on the VVM app, just getting the 9016 notifications texts. However the app did stopped FCing and rebooting the phone. other than that no fully working VVM app yet.

Wondering if it would matter if you uninstalled/removed the default VVM before flashing the g60madman one.

Also, FYI in dastins WFTN CM 10.1 thread on XDA he has a link for the VVM apk only: VVM.apk

This is really really late reply but the MIUI dev team updates their ROM on a weekly basis every Saturday I believe. Digitalhigh would follow the updates and add the changes to his build as he sees fit.

I'll follow up on this rom and update it here for our Android Forums fans. :p

No problem. Are you running the JB version or the ICS?

Have you been able to get the VVM working for us? :p

I've been running the ICS version since Wednesday. It's pretty nice, I believe everything is working except for 4G. Tho, I haven't tested VVM yet but the app opens and work just fine.

So far so good, no errors. :)
 
Yesterday my phone randomly restarted and was stuck in a loop on this rom. So now I'm back to running pacman which has been the best 4.2 rom for me by far. I think the problem was that I installed Acid Audio mod on it, so it may not be the ROM. I'll give it another go at some point.

Just wanted to add that I love the rom and before the loop I was going to use it as my daily. Probably because I do like iOS and it's simplicity for when you just need a phone that works.
