Root need help with rooted htc evo4g not getting a signal at all

ok sorry let me revise my previous directions:
1. move the file to the sd card
2. go into recovery and make a nandroid backup and include wimax
3. wipe dalvik cache and cache
4. flash the firmware .zip file

and as far as roms go, you can go here:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/618281-list-utilities-apps-roms-kernels-og-evo.html and checkout the staff picks for some suggestion of roms to try.

also please read the 2nd post for more info on roms and kernels.

and yes roms will not have an affect on your radios.
 
ok i flahed that update and i still dont notice a diffrance in it so what should be my next steps like give it a day or so i flashed it befor i posted this
 
ok i flashed the file and i still haveing the same probs with signal so what should be my next move ? i flashed it this moring befor this post shouldd i wait and let it settle and give it like 24 hours cuzi have read that you should do that when doing tis stuff
 
If you flashed the radio firmware, I don't think you need to wait for it to settle in like a rom flash.
You could very well be dealing with a tower issue. You had mentioned something about that tornado wiping out a tower or two correct?
 
yes accourding ot the tech that abunch of the tower were taken out by the tordado in moore oklahoma last week when it happen and he say it might be a posb that my main cell tower i use is located on one of thowes towers he said to give it tell tuesday which is tomarrow and it show be normal again now he alos said that if not he wold have to unroot my phone re insail a factor rom in it and do what ever need to be done.

but that leads to a nother question that if what ever tower i was using not there any more wont my phone go to a diff tower for service cuz the people on the phone said that i am closser to a tower they just upgraded in my areia then in moore? so i dont know what to do and my wife phone dose not have any probs

and the guy was also like well just depend on your wifes phone if she had some kinda one or a zero in it or somthing that just confused me

and in my org post i siad i also do update my thing except the software weekly so i dont know
 
Well, in my opinion I think you should give it a day or two to see if the tower issues have been resolved.
If your device is still acting wonky, then let the tech do his thing. You can always re-root it after he unroots it.
I know its a pain in the butt and I can understand your frustration. Especially when your wifes phone seems to be fine.
If your device's issues are radio hardware related, do you still have sort of warranty with it?
 
humm well i dont know eiether if any one eles has any ideas i well take it

and what about the ruu tool that ws told to me by panic should i try that as well befor i totaly give up
 
no i think the ruu is always one of the last results. if the radio update did not do anything then a ruu might not work as well. i suggested the ruu before i realized that your radios were not up to date.

it does not hurt to try it though. it will not unroot you, but you will need to install a custom recovery afterwards......so that is up to you.

maybe give it a few days as the towers get fixed.
 
well i have some update for you and some questions.

update is that i relizied that i have a battary saver app. and it was turned on level three so i am guessing in that cas that it turns every thing off and even reduces my signal i turned it down and then ever turned it off a few time i just barly notced a diff in it. so i am at a lost at this point. so could there be a appp or setting that i may not be aware of that could be reducing the signal that i am not aware of or may have changed or somthing? and other then the ruu tool and every thing eles you guys have told me about and to do this there any thing eles i could od ro try

should i drive to a tower and see if it inproves? and it has been 2 weeks sent the tornados you fig they would have all there towers back up and running and issues resoved by tnow? and my last question is that well my wife phone ever or might go threw this even thow she is not haveing any prob right now ? should i up date her radios as well? sent her phone was a pretty much copy of mine even thow that there nothing wrong with it?

now i dont know if you guys know anything about phone hardware but i did drip my phone thow pretty hard off a roof so i asked the guy if thta would have messed up the antenna and he said now the antenna was attached directly to the pphones board and that not by a wire or somthing and that there no way that could realy happen. so that sound right or he just feeding me a line just to unroot my phone ? and he said befor he could even look atit or trouble shoot it he have ot unroot it an ractore rom it or somthing like that and he just need to know what or how my phone was rooted with liek winmas or somthing eles

i am so lost sorry guys
 
ok last resort then try and use the ruu and see if that helps if not then you can just take it in and see. if you want we can even unroot you as well......up to you as i do not know what else to do as well.
 
k guys i am back sorry been gone for a bit. here is a update well it realy dont mater now sprint gave me a replacement phone saydi that they couldnt even get passed the first some kinda battary test. so they said it was defective or somthing. so i got a replacement phone. however now i have to s-off and reroot my phone which i guess now to say i was looking into getting a new rom now is the time.


but to my last question befor i disapeared again sent my wifes phone was just like mine do i need ot update3 her radios even thow she is not having any probs at this time.


and sents i have to get a new rom now or look into one. dose any one have any recomm on any roms that well work with the evo 4g .

i guess that i need ot make now post for rom questions

no need to update them, but that is up to you. if her signal is not bad then i woyld not worry about it. sometimes the radio updates will improve signal strength and thus give you better battery life., but not always. it really dpeends and is hard to say sometimes.......so it is up to you.

it will depend on the hboot of the phone.
 
well her phone at this time that i am aware of iis not having the issues that i was having but however i just didnt want her to get into the same probs that i would be having and have to have the same issues that i was having ang have to go threw what i went threw

and up date to mine i got a new phone so i well have to reroot compleaty wit hnew phone from scratech so any

so i want new roms an kernals bu t tat well have to be a new post all to gather thow
 
k gusy up date to my phone i got a new one before as i stated how ever sents they replaced my phone with a nother one it is up to date i guess this phone says teh base band is now 2.15.00.01.15

so is that the newiest radio now then the one stated above
? so i can make sure i give my wife phone the new of the new?

and with my phone should i do any thing about the new radio then when i flash a new rom after rooting do i need ot flash the new radio as well ?
 
2.15.00.01.15 is the latest radio:)
And you need not mess with the radio at all when flashing roms. i.e. flashing a rom will not mess with the radios :)

Is that what you mean?

now my wifes phone her radio is out date so dose any one have the link or file for the 2.15.00.01.15 sents her phone is already rooted so i can up date them

swet i got it from that site yea i saw it and fallowed it there thanks for that

so i should wipe dev cach and cach and flash that file and then wipe both cach again


and the file that ia m flashing can stay as a compressed zip it well open it up when i flahs it on her nanord
