Network vision & LTE rollout

With the marriage of Tmo and Metro I guess Sprint getting Metro now won't happen unless they can pull off some creative maneuvering to make it happen. From what I've read so far, TMo plans on keeping Metro separate for now and later on using Metro's LTE for their benefit.

Metros 4G LTE will be used by T-Mobile, so yea. Sprint won't be getting any of it. Now if Sprint does buy part of metro, the only part they can get is metro's 3G/1x towers.

You guys haven't been paying attention to the most recent news, have you...

Deal isn't completely done, bid was just agreed upon and Sprint isn't going down without a fight:
Report: Sprint ready to engage with T-Mobile in bidding war for MetroPCS

Sprint is still being talked about possibly out-bidding T-mobile

So, even though an "announcement" was made, it's still no different than the ATT / T-Mobile merge, which was also "announced." Let's wait and see what happens. If Sprint had considered a merger before, but it was turned down by the board as "too much" to offer, lets see if T-Mobile is willing to match what would've been Sprint's offer before (assuming the board wises up and changes their minds).

I just wish the west coast would start seeing some love. .01 mbps download is getting old here in Portland.

 I think the east coast was the first part of the country to start using cell phones. I could be wrong though.

The reason the west coast is behind is because cell phones started in east coast and came to west coast later...but I still could be wrong.

I still don't get why that would be a factor. Why all the major markets aren't prioritized, makes no sense to me.

guessing...

sun rises in the east.. sets in the west.
they wake up first in the east..
therefore every thing start first in the east?

:P
