new fresh rom....

I've tried this twice now, and both times, came up with

E:Failure at line 391:
copy_dir PACKAGE:data DATA:

Installation aborted.

any ideas on this???

If you are using apps2sd and are re-flashing this rom without wiping for any reason then you are going to get an error during the flash that mentions an error on DATA: . This is because it can
 
Great Rom, but I had audio issues(Music/Ringtones not playing). I did the sound fix but to no avail. Also had VVM issues where it would FC and couldn't listen to the VM. Had to flash back to 1.5 :(
 
If you update the Radio and there is a problem, is it usually recoverable or is the phone completely "bricked"?
 
I've run into an issue where some of my paid apps aren't showing up in the market. I was wondering if this is an issue with the ROM or they aren't compatible with 2.1 for some reason, I can't get Mybackup Pro to show up or Hyperspace is this the ROM or just me being stupid?

My Backup Pro shows up just fine for me. Searched for Hyperspace and it returned Astroids or something similar.

Were you sure to wipe data/davlik before? Did you have apps2sd running? If so did you wipe ext as well?

Also, you could try going into settings>applications>manage applications>market>clear cache and see if that helps.

it all depends on how bad the problem is. if the phone won't boot at all, then yes it's bricked. if that's case then you have an expensive paper weight.

if it can boot to recovery, then try flashing the radio again (re-download it to make sure you have a good copy)
 
Maybe it was posted here earlier but why won't my contacts sync to my Facebook for picture? Do I need to reboot? I'm liking the look of 2.1 so far.
 
Nevermind. I rebooted and they came right up. Now, can I use Fresh's kitchen to remove Peep, Sprint football, and IM? Also, did I miss that Visual Voicemail doesn't work?

Can I do the wipe through command prompt because I tried to do it in recovery mode and and it said something about doing it in adb.

I've been using the kitchen with Fresh 2.0 to install and remove apps, push files, create nandroids, and change bootscreens, but I can't change the lock screen.
 
rumor has it that the 2.1 is coming with the MMS update scheduled for this friday.. do i gotta completely take the root off my phone in order to get the sprint version running?? i dont have any problems with this root at all.. however.. the visual voicemail not working does kinda suck..

If I were you, I would wait. This has been discussed many times. Right now we have 99.9999% working 2.1 ROMs. If you unroot to get the sprint 2.1, there is a good chance you may not be able to root again. Just hang tight for a bit :). Btw, Fresh 2.0d has VVM working, if you need that.

As for your question about loosing your current theme, yes you will loose it, sort of. You can switch back to it if you choose Sense again, but going to Launcher is like changing themes, if you will.
 
well.. the custom scene that i created.. does get lost.. so.. you will have to go reset all your pages back how you want..

also, i didnt get the option to use launcher..
 
Did you clear your defaults in HTC Sense as I suggested earlier in this thread?

you have to clear defaults on htc sense or use home switcher app from the market to use launcher
 
figured it out.. clear defaults is farther down in the list.. thanks.. but it still loses my sense scene, which has my background, and icons setup how i like..
