You don't need a specific android kitkat. Literally any kitkat variety will work. I have been using it for weeks now.
There have not been any kitkats with codes on them to my knowledge here. Haven't seen any Android branding. Guess I'll have to check my next one closely.

. Both the GF and I want to update to Nexus 5's from 4's because reapplying the LTE hacks after every rom flash gets annoying after a while, plus it would be nice to have AT&T LTE just in case we need to swap carriers when traveling to an area with poor T-Mobile coverage. So I'll have 2 Verizon Gnex's, 2 Nexus 4's, and since I'm also interested in upgrading my TF700 to a TF701 to get rid of horrible lag caused by cheap hardware, I'll have that as well. That tab is suppose to come out on November 3rd. Going to be an interesting couple of weeks for buying/selling devices.
