Root Odin (Return phone to Stock/Factory)

The odin and gingerbread file worked perfectly. Phone rebooted and went right past the logo screen which I was happy to see. I had printed off a shipping label to send phone to samsung since it was still under warrantly and figured I check forums first. Glad I did.

Fyi to anyone who might not see a com number when opening odin; make sure the usb drivers are downloaded and then try again and should work. I downloaded the exe installer and still didn't so just plugged phone in and it auto installed them even thought phone wouldn't boot up and it worked after that.

Where can I get cwm for my prevail:confused: and what odin can I use to put the phone back to stock because my phone doesnt have google navigation in it any help anyone;)

Odin any rooted image in this thread, with the version of Odin included in the zip, and cwm is included. (there is even a vid to show you how :),)

And Google navigation is part of Google Maps available on the market (play store) :rolleyes:;)

I was just wondering if any one has had a problem with the autorotate screen not working? It isn't that big of a deal but I would like to have it work if at all possible..

do you have it on??????? settings/display/ auto rotate screen need to be checked????
 
Yes. That's why i came here to check if any one else was having the same problem. I am running the rooted FA19 with cwm and nothing else.
I just checked my wifes phone and it doesn't work on it either. I flashed it as well with the same rom.

no don't have any answer might have to wipe and do a fresh install, always delete delvik though . maybe someone else will have an answer??

Thanks for the help. I am hoping i don't have to do a wipe. Hope someone can tell me something other than that.....

hope so too. really after a while doing wipes and odin and stuff like that after a while it become no big deal:D:D:D. just part of everyday life!!!!!!!!!!
 
I was on ejo6 signal went to shit for no reason, so I switched over to FA19, not much of a difference.

I noticed my PRL changed from 61007 to 61008 (I think it changed anyway), I went back to EJO6 again, but that PRL stayed the same even after updating.

Question is does that matter. The FA19 has 1 extra file (.CSC) that flashes with ODIN. So when I switch back to EJ06 is it just as simple as flashing the rom and not worring about anything else?

61008 is new boost prl so not available in your area maybe. 61007 should been default when you activate (right?)

and Odin and cwm flashes don't affect prl. only cdmaws or qpst on computer can do that. my phone was worthless on fa19. and I had issues changing prl on fa19. prl changed no prob when I went back to ej06. idk if that was problem but recommend going to ej06 to change prl and go back to fa19 after if you want but I haven't heard/seen anything good bout that baseband

go to settings-about-status. and get SID and channel and you can see what prls work for you. just look for your SID and make sure your channel listed. some prls higher priority for your area than others so I assume those better. those sprint only


anybody know how I can find this info on boost prls?
 
Sprint may be updating the towers in you area too. When they were working on ours the signal went in and out for a week.

Also, I along with many others didn't have any luck w/ FA19. As for flashing back to EJ06, just use Odin and install it. It's as easy as that.
 
I live in a basement of a row-home. As far as I can tell there is only 1 tower and its a few miles away. Even though I had shit reception down here in the basement, my cals always went through. For some reason today I have nothing but an X.

If I go outside the reception comes back, but very-very low. That just started for no reason at all today. Now I cant use it in the house at all, never had that issue before. So I tried changing to the FA19, but no difference. In fact it's making the phone act wierd. Sticky-Freezing. Not sure why. Never had these issues in the basement.

Every once in awhile my signal will die and in fact I actually posted about it in the past. Many suggested to send my phone in but then it would come back and be ok after a day or two.

As I am typing this I walked outside and cant get a signal at all now.

SSID: 0/4168 PRL: 61008

I'm going to wipe it and put EJ06 Back again. See what happens.
