Root Odin (Return phone to Stock/Factory)

I think I have the same issue, not really sure.
I went to this site-->www.AntennaSearch.com
accidently found it in a google search, works good.

4.0 mile radius of zip code 19136
86 Tower Structures Detected
3 New Tower Applications Detected as of 05/30/12
273 Antenna Locations Found

I'm guessing Boost Mobile uses Sprint Towers, but in my area I'm showing shit. Lots of Cingular, AT&T, Nextel, Tmobile, all others.and everything else, but not Boost/Sprint.

I searched [AntennaSearch.com] for zip 19136. Lots of interesting results, but I can't post any of it here. Worth checking out unless you know of something better.

I myself think this is all due to the work they were doing. Gee, thanks a lot boost dooshers. Some kind of warning would have been nice.

My girlfriend tried to get on the web using her phone, which is identical to mine last nite about 5:30pm as we were driving around about 2 miles from my house, and she could not connect. She had service and so did I but the signal was extreme-lame-o slow. So it must be them and their tinkering around.

Biker -I actually tried some software from the market yesterday, dont remember what it was but it didnt work. In fact, it may have been that software I used that changed my PRL to 61008, but I'm not sure. It was that or the FA19 Odin flash.

As of right now it's 4:30am est and my signal blows. For us poor 'n crippled people, this is no good. You should be ashamed of yourselves Boost, Sprint, or whoever you are today. Not good for business just leaving us hang with no backup plan. I mean, cmon, with today's technology?, you cant do better? Their tech support is quite the ass pain. It's clear to me that you will hire anyone even if they cannot understand ENGLISH.

I mentioned to the person I was talking to that my PRL number changed on it's own, and what did that person say, .... They said "Okay great, lets go ahead and change your phone number for you sir." Then proceeded to reprogram my phone while I was trying to RE EXPLAIN it all over again. Luckily I realized what was happening and got to get transferred to a non moron. And a better Engwish speaking person as well.

No offense to any of you if your Engwish isnt so good, but truth be told, if you can't speak it, you certainly can't understand it properly. But hey, that's just my opinion.

maybe I'll try that other software Biker mentioned, maybe I'll just sit on it, throw it against thy wall, maybe just get a new upgraded model. Getting bored with the prevail anyway.

Unless they fix it soon of course. :banghead:

it supposedly connect you to tower with best signal so should connect you to further one if it stronger since not being worked on. idk tho could easily just put you in airplane mode and then back and that it. he hide status bar so that could be all app really does.

i've been trying to do this or awhile but never had the time to.And the min i try and do it i have issues when i plug my phone into my computer it says device not recgonized its been working alright until i try and do this.sorry if i dont explain enough or spell right its early in the morning here im kinda tired but i anyone can help please post back or email me at T2firebird@gmail.com or text me at 7709905624

explain everything you have done so far, step by step, do not leave out any details
 
i've read ur guide download everything installed the drivers or the phone turned off my phone turned it on the downloading screen and plugged it in and i got the message so i deleted the drivers re installed them and got the same message then went to google looking or awnsers and nothen so i made a account on here and posted....

what version of windows you have?

have you tried different USB cable/port?

do you have another computer to try this on?
 
Windows 7 64 bit no i have not ill try that now and i do its a windows vista.just tryed all my ports nothen changed and i dont have another cable i only have the one that came with the phone

install usb drivers on other computer


also unplug sdcard from phone and battery, leave battery out for 10 seconds,


put it back in,

dont put sdcard back in, untill the whole process is done

go into download mode (vol down, cam, power)

and then plug it into the computer
 
now before i get into this to deep this does root the phone right? or does it make it able to root with like on click rooting? or explain to me what it does? im new to rooting

it depends on which image you use, there is a rooted image and one that is not

Odin flashes the partitions of on your phone, it is kind of like formatting your hard drive and reinstalling your OS

any apps or settings will be wiped out, it will not erase anything on the sdcard, but anything that is on the phone will be wiped out

The whole process should take around 3 min :( I'm afraid you have encountered another issue.

Have you tried a different USB port (with your new cable)
Which image did you select?

Another option would be to try and install just CWM using the 'one package' option in Odin. (found in the clockwork mod recovery thread) Then your can flash a rooted ROM (any on here lol)

usb cables are senstive, I tried using Odin with the USB cable I use to whip my cats with, and it fails on boot

but I switch the cable and it is fine
